@jonathaanv could you post ur stats?
most emails/notifications from USC seem to be sent at 2am, atleast from the few people iv talked to, is this true for most ppl, or do you guys get it a different times?
@Amaryllis85 - yeah, i tried to sign in just now because i heard they do a lot of updates at 2AM, and it took me to that page. i logged in again and nothing changed, but i really wonder what this means…
@Skepta that is correct in my experience. I work overnight and almost every email I received regarding USC, whether that be financial aid, and even my admission decision updated a little past midnight (roughly 1 or 2am).
@Mikeysky96 I know it’s so stressful because that’s when rejections come out :((
@osu2usc @Mikeysky96 @tc20498 My daughter applied to SCA as a junior transfer from ccc - film/tv production. Just got an email from the Director of Admissions yesterday asking her for an unofficial transcript for this past winter session and current spring semester. That’s the first she has heard from them.
Hey guys are we able to submit a second letter of rec after weve submitted our application? And is it reccomended?

still waiting for a decision… anyone recommend sending in another letter of rec?

@transfer201517 please do not spam. I don’t think it’s a good idea to send a letter of rec this late. But if you really want to, no one’s stopping you.
@Skepta As soon as I read your post, I checked my email and sure enough I received one from fin aid at 1:58am. They’re asking me for the “family member listing signature” as well.
@dvlance about how long before you were accepted did they request more financial information?
@tankle104 @uscdream19 @angeleno @osu2usc @umaasa
I received an email from financial aid, at 5am EST, asking for more documents. I had already submitted the required documents yesterday so the system probably didn’t update.
Anyway, the email has a section where it says “PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: This notice is not an indication of an admission decision. Financial aid information is gathered and reviewed for all financial aid applicants, regardless of admission status”.
As per USC’s website, “USC is need-blind in its admission process—a student’s financial need will never influence an admission decision”. This tells me that they do not have a reason to look at a prospective student’s financial aid before they are admitted. And, as the lady on the phone told me, “generally speaking, financial aid only reviews accepted students”.
Not getting my hopes up, just enjoying trying to figure it all out lol.
@gatsby22, i’ve also been trying to piece everything together lol… I think at this point in the process I have lost my mind. i also got requested the same additional information awhile ago, but didn’t receive an email about it
@ngujo96 lol I’m almost at that point :-S What does your financial aid portal say now?
@gatsby22 it’s been the same for a few days now, I submitted my document on Monday morning, but it says the “Application in review blah blah blah summaries will be processed within 3-5 days”
Guys don’t worry. They don’t look at your financial aid until you’re accepted. So if you’re being asked to submit financial stuff yes you’re in, congrats! Dont freak out and think they’re pulling your leg.
This also means that them not having approved my noncustodial waiver and letter yet has is because there’s been no action taken on my application… lol this wait blows
Viterbi I love you. Do you love me? If you do please send me a nice package in my front door. Yours Truly, Itslife123 <3
