2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@Skepta semester units

@srg999 USC does not send any tracking number to anyone regarding decision packages. You can go to “MyUSPS” and sign up, and verify your address. After your address is verified, USPS will notify you if there is a package coming to your address. That is how other people are finding out about their packages :slight_smile:

For my USPS is it normal that it’s constantly saying there are no deliveries? Does it include all mail or just packages?

@darlenez I’m not sure how everyone is seeing that it is coming from USC. However, can you keep me updated if it’s something from USC. I saw earlier that you are a sociology major, similar to myself, and I would love any type of update. I honestly think they forgot about us Sociology majors

@brixnx It only shows mails and packages with tracking numbers I think

Yeah for me, i show, Package Sent From: University of Southern California. So it’s easy to tell if it’s the univeristy sending you a package. @SMCSociology

I just received an email from my counselor asking what score I got on my AP Calculus AB exam. The university I go to now accepts a score of a 3 (which is what I got) but I know USC only accepts a 4 or 5. I then followed up in the same email saying I would be happy to take the class at a local CC if necessary. Do you guys think my counselor personally reaching out to me for my AP scores is a good or bad thing?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but are SGRs only sent through portal or in mail as well?

for my usps, im only allowed to see what is being delivered to my house that day. is there any way i can look at packages coming in the future?

@martym not necessarily bad! It’s probably listed on your transcript without the score as counting for credit (my school does this too) and they probably just want to know the number.

@MartyM if your major has a pre req of calculus this might actually affect you. Since you aren’t taking it this spring and it doesn’t qualify for USC credit then it will be considered incomplete. Saying you’ll take it at a local community college sounds good but more than likely they’ll reject you and wait to see the grade in the upcoming application process. If calc isn’t a requirement then you don’t have much to worry about.

I am glad I got an SGR cause it means they are still interested in me, but I’m actually kinda shocked I got one at the same time haha. I am not taking any Pre Reqs. really hope They accept me.

for those of you who got a SGR and accepted to other schools that has deposit deadline by june 1… Are you guys going to enroll into those school first ?

I believe people have said this before, but I got a request for my transcript from my current school under required documents. Is this a spring grade request or something else?

@TST974 yes that is exactly what it is

@uscdream19 Great, thanks!

@Skepta I got a mailed letter about my SGR about a week after I saw it in my portal

What’s SGR lol

My friend whose transferring as a Math Major to UCLA, just got a D on his midterm with my same Professor. Is USC all but over for me? :’(. My teacher at this very moment, is giving 40 other transferring students including myself, living hell rn.

@itslife123 you should talk to the dean and the department chair about this.
