2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@forksinmybox ok thanks! I got a SGR probably cause Im finishing 2 GEs this quarter

@UCtoUSC yea theyre taking forever and I wont know my decision til july

@sc4589 This may not work but do you have an adblocker installed? If so, try turning it off and trying again.

@jonathaanv

I am already setting up my study abroad program, I have my classes picked out, I am considering the summer transfer program where you take 12 units in 7 weeks and you get to live on campus! I already met some professors and T/A,s, I already met the staff in the entrepreneurship program/club, already know the jiu jitsu class schedule, I already met the instructor of the salsa classes, I already applied for three jobs on campus. I also went to a sports bar on manhattan beach and had free drinks because the manager is a Bruin. Tuition+guaranteed housing = under $10,000 a year for my education. Downside is the damn quarter system.

You won’t know what UCLA has to really offer until you go there and look. They have a ton of resources for transfers (including a free shuttle ride within a 15 mile radius in exchange for an hour of studying in a study room…what?!). I thought UCLA was some superficial brand of a school, man was I wrong.

Annenberg needs to hmu with that decision asap because I already registered for classes just in case I get rejected

Is anyone willing to take out a bunch of student loans if not getting a bunch of financial aid?

Wow the housing options around USC seem like a hell hole every yelp reviewer is either complaining about cockroach issues or management having ridiculous fees.

@pantafootball2 for real, if I have to go off campus I’m printing out yelp reviews to call them out on it and ask questions before I sign any lease… definitely gonna go through the room with a fine tooth comb as well. Can’t believe how insanely deceiving these places are lol

Are there really no more on-campus housing options left? :frowning:

Are those Yelp reviews recent? @pantafootball2

dornslife - econ applicant still waiting :frowning: :////////////////////////

@AGoodFloridian just about all of them are from this past academic year (16-17)

Sorry if this question has been asked already, but if accepted as a transfer, where do most transfer students live? I know some schools have designated guaranteed housing for transfers, but does USC? or would we all have to find off campus housing around the area

Just out of curiosity, I am not an Annenberg or Viterbi applicant, but have decisions for both of those colleges been released (or at least a small amount) yet?

@ngujo96 Annenberg applicant here…literally nothing. No other Annenberg applicants have received a decision yet either (or at least no one in this thread)

@ngujo96 I’m an Annenberg applicant and as far as I know, those of us on the forum have heard a whole lotta nothing. There was one possible SGR a few days ago (I forget who it was, sorry!), but it may have been for a second choice major.
In short: nah.

ACCEPTED TO SCA FOR CINEMA/MEDIA STUDIES!!! i just got the package and the letter was dated may 16th!!! (i live in LA) (also i never got an SGR) i will post stats later but i am in shock and absolutely amazed!!

@tc20498 congrats!

@tc20498 congrats, I hope that means us other SCA applicants will hear something soon

@tc20498 congrats! were you signed up for the usps notifications by any chance?

Financial aid for the win! Now I just gotta find a place to stay that doesn’t have shitty staff, cockroaches, bed bugs, broken appliances, and horrible wifi!
