2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@itslife123 no shame in that, work hard play hard

@penntousc haha that’s the hashtag I put down in my app, good motto to live by.

The hashtag I put on my application is standing strong right now in the face of the 5 rejections and 2 waitlists I’ve had so far.

HeyLifeImStillStanding.

I haven’t seen any SCA applicants get a decision yet… are you all out there??

@fiddleleaf123 I’ve seen a couple for various majors and its stressin me out that I havent heard!!! mostly seen cinema studies, couple production, one animation I think?

@fiddleleaf123 Someone did. Viterbi and Keck are the only ones who hasn’t given any decisions yet.

Last year Viterbi applicants got their acceptances on 5/20 and the year before that they got their acceptances on 5/23. I am so impatient, the wait is killing me.

I haven’t seen any official decisions for the School of Dramatic Arts either

@Roxy22 im a psych major but i received an SGR a couple weeks ago meaning…more waiting! Im so tired of waiting. And psychology is so impacted. Best of luck to you and I hope you hear some good news soon

Hi everyone! I’m an accounting major waiting for my decision as well. Has anyone gotten SGR if you are a business major? if so, is it because you were taking the requirements this semester or GE’s?

Impatiently waiting from USC!

@uscdream19 when was it dated and where do you live?

@aileen33445533 Thanks you too. But I thought Psych was one of the easier majors?

Do you guys know what SAP in the financial aid section is? There is a green check next to my Satisfactory Academic Progress

@izrobins dated the 18th I live in la

For anyone who got an SGR but never received the physical, It has the first letter you see on the portal and the second page says:

So that we may expeditiously review your application for admission, please follow these instructions very carefully.

What to send:
Final grades for all USC-transferable courses taken in the spring term. (Please be sure that all grades are final and not mid-term progress reports. Additionally, be sure to wait to send them all together at one time.

Acceptable documents for submission

  1. Official Transcript (an unofficial transcript is also acceptable should an official document not be readily available.)
  2. A copy of an electronic or unofficial student grade report.
  3. Grade cards containing:
Course name, number and title: (e.g., “ENGL 1A, College Writing”)
    Number of Units
    Final Grade
    Professor’s signature

*Please note: if admitted, students who have submitted unofficial transcripts, grade reports, and/or grade cards, must provide an official transcript prior to registration for courses at USC Orientation.

If you need to speak with an Admission representative please call (213) 740 1111

The rest of the info is how you’re sending your grades and what address to use depending on whether your’e doing fax, postal mail, overnight delivery, electronic upload, or delivery in person. If you need the addresses just let me know. Meant to upload this before but its been a very busy end of the semester.

Anyone go through their financial aid stuff yet? I completed the loan counseling session online, but it says we have to attend a “Cash Course” webinar. Can’t find a schedule or really any information about it, anyone know what to do?

if you got a SGR, where do they send you the instructions on how to send out second semester grades? also, would it be appropriate to explain why I did a little worse or no?

@Roxy22 Oh wow - I had no idea that psych was impacted. :frowning: Well, there goes that! LOL. Considering I didn’t even get an SGR and was just rejected today from Occidental, I’m pretty sure I can expect a rejection letter from USC soon. I actually called admissions earlier today and asked if they were sending out rejections next week, and she said that they’re sending out everything at one time and that lots of decisions were still being made. Congrats on getting an SGR though! I’ve got my fingers crossed for you!!!

Pretty crazy when you realize we’ve covered 485 pages of this thread in the past 9 months

I’ve been lurking on this thread a while but just got accepted to Annenberg today! I am a sophomore PR applicant and I’ll post in the other thread thingy a lil later!
