@penntousc is your transfer credit report available yet?
@usc2563 yeah it actually just became available today, everything transfers like I thought it would but I want to see the stars report to see how much GE progress they have me making, which isn’t up yet
wait so does our regional admission counselor decide if we are admitted/rejected?
@Skepta I believe so, me and a few other PA residents received our decisions at the same time. However, I’m pretty sure it does have to be voted on in some sort of way. I think our regional admissions counselors sort of go to bat for us (or not if they don’t like our app) and it gets voted on by the other counselors
Edit: But they definitely are the ones that review our applications.
@penntousc damn cuz some people in my cc already received their decision. A few got SGR’s in late april and 2 got their acceptances early may.
@Skepta I really don’t know how you haven’t gotten an SGR, just doesn’t make sense to me. I guess it could have something to do with the C in trig, even though it’s not transferable, because a C in that class could raise eyebrows as to how good you are with Calculus (since there’s trig in calculus), even though it’s in progress right now. It’d be wrong of them to anticipate a poor calc grade due to a poor trig grade, but who knows. I really hope you get in though, you’re definitely qualified enough! Hopefully they come through with an SGR within the next week.
this a shot in the dark, but anyone here from de anza who hasn’t recieved a SGR/decisions?
Anyone here goes to SMC?
Any fellow SMC students still waiting for a decision/SGR?
@Roxy22 haha I do! Do you know if anyone at SMC has heard back?
@HappilyFoodie what’s your major? A lot of my friends who go to SMC got in in Early May and a few got a SGR. But I know 2 other people who are waiting for their decisions.
@Roxy22 I’m a Comm major. What’s your major?
Hey all, first time posting. Just got an SGR (Required forms tab now has a button for uploading Transcript that wasn’t there before so I’m guessing that’s an SGR.)

@HappilyFoodie I’m a Psych major. I know someone with your major who hasn’t heard back either.
Anyone here have Rankin Hall as their admission counselor?
@Roxy22 that’s a bit of a relief to know that I’m not the only Comm major at SMC still waiting, so thank you for that!
@VLGian I know right? I remembered seeing a letter from USC and it was just a plain white envelope. I was curious what it was and opened it to see that it was my rejection pdf in physical form. I definitely feel you; it was like another reminder that “hey, you didn’t get in”
@Roxy22 I just randomly checked my portal around midnight and saw that there was now an “admission decision” for me to click on. Although, this was back in the old days when youSC didn’t exist and when everybody used the OASIS “hack” so it wasn’t entirely “random”, I suppose. I knew that a decision was on the way.
@darlenez I had Rakin Hall as a counselor one of the years I applied. Are you from the East LA area? I think that’s one of the territories he serves.
@zettasyntax yeah I got to ELAC. He was extremely helpful at first but now he just stopped replying
Today was also a good day because I didn’t get rejected today…
@darlenez I found him fairly nice. He sent me an email asking to see my spring grade for math. Apparently, when I called the admissions office, they had never seen an SGR like mine. He did seem to quiet down as I waited for my spring grades (since ELAC ended like the first week of June or something). I saw him in the crowd after commencement. I wanted to say hello
