Still nothing from FA.
Got my updated financial aid package and looks like I won’t be able to attend because USC is waay too expensive for me ): hopefully this opens a spot for anyone who is waiting for a response! good luck to everyone, you got this!
@zettasyntax omg he literally did the same thing!! He requested my grade for statistics lol. It’s not an SGR but it’s the class I’m currently taking now. (spring 2017)
Lmao I swear if that one trig class causes my rejection, il prob never forgive myself sigh. Good luck to those still waiting!
@tc20498 I’m going on the 14th!
Anyone with Hillary Higgins hear anything? Considering emailing her asking her about my application…
Im taking major courses this semester and i have with a pretty competitive gpa, havent even revieved a sgr…
@Roxy22 @HappilyFoodie Do you guys know any Business Admin or Marshall applicants that heard back from SMC?
Any one with Risa Williams Tewksbury hear anything?
Does anyone know of how to get more aid? I want to go so bad but I can’t afford their insane cost
@darlenez I also have him as a counselor. I wouldn’t be overly concerned (I know, easier said than done! LOL). I emailed him back on the 5th and haven’t heard back from him after adding an addendum to my academic history. I imagine he’s completely swamped right now and that emails are probably the last of the priorities to handle. At least you received a request for a class grade. I think that’s likely a good sign. At least you know he’s considering your application. I’m not from the Los Angeles area, I’m from south Orange County, but I chose him because he was listed for multicultural recruitment. Good luck to you!!!
@TrojanTransfer89 My friend got accepted as a Marshall Business applicant. However, he was apart of TTP
I’m going to assume if I dont get a SGR or a acceptance by this week, I will be denied. GL to all.
@silvermansachs June 1st is their deadline for notifying people.
@transfer201517 I have Hillary Higgins, haven’t heard back anything
So June 1st is the “deadline”, does that basically mean that ALL applicants that applied by the Feb deadline are certain to receive an SGR or decision? Or is that the date where just a large handful of applicants will be notified?
@usc2563 “Generally, Transfer Credit Reports are available at my.usc.edu three to six weeks after your commitment deposit is received. You will receive an e-mail notification when your TCR is available to view”
@user98 that is correct for the most part. All applicants should be notified by that specified date. Whether that be an acceptance, SGR, or rejection. There are of course exceptions (people who have to submit SGR, etc. Typically these cases will have to wait a bit longer given the time it takes to process it)
@Transfer510 you can attempt to appeal it. I understand it’s costly and the sticker shock is nothing to sneeze at. However, if you have an employable major from a reputable school like USC, you will still produce a ROI in the long run. Apply for scholarships. Also take a look at Sallie Mae Smart Option for students or USC Credit Union to finance it. You will be needing a cosigner and should pay interest payments while in school in order to save on the total cost of the loan.
@ashurikko have you contacted her? Im considering emailing her… Like im at least expecting an sgr… But still no word from her …
@transfer201517 I haven’t contacted her, I’m a little scared to haha but if you do decide to e-mail her, please let me know what she says. And same, I expected at least an SGR by now… but nothing. I may e-mail her if I don’t hear anything back within a few days
@ashurikko haha were on the same boat! Yes if i dont get anything by the 25th im def emailing her, ill let you know how it goes good luck to us both !
Another CS wave happened today, a couple of people I know got in. Best of luck to those still waiting!
