@ParadoxicalFire Yes, I got into USC, but UCLA waitlisted me lol. I was so sure I wouldn’t be getting into USC either after the whole UCLA thing, haha.

@mellyjune I made an account with MyUSPS yesterday and it said that I had no packages planned or anything but I got my package in the mail today. Take that with a grain of salt!!!

ahhh guys i need help!! i just got back my spring semester grades and got a D in one of my classes. the rest of my grades are fine and are similar to what i got first semester, but the one D is absolutely killing me and i’m sososo terrified USC is going to rescind my offer of admission !!! i know i definitely could have done much better, but it was a pretty ridiculous class (in terms of the workload) and there were definitely a lot of personal issues going on that had an effect on my performance. in particular, i had to deal with my parents getting a divorce while being on the other side of the country which took a huge toll on my mental wellbeing – on top of everything i was already feeling about being at a school that i really, really didn’t like.
anyways, i know my next move is to talk to my counselor and write a letter of explanation, so does anyone have any tips on this?? i’m really freaking out about this. it wouldn’t look as bad if it were a C, but a D!!! (my other grades for this year range from B- to A). i’m so ashamed and i really don’t want that one class to be the reason i don’t attend my dream school. any advice will be much appreciated!!! i don’t know if i’m overreacting or not. on one hand, i feel like i have very valid reasoning for this but on the other, i don’t know what to expect. btw, i was admitted to SCA and the course i got a D in was a geography course, so i’m hoping this will just mean i won’t get credit for that course in the fall as opposed to getting rescinded. thoughts??
