@tc20498 hey, id recommend you contact the admissions office and discuss this with a counselor. It may or may not affect your admission decision. Most likely it shouldnt unless they admitted you with certain restrictions. Read you admission letter see if your admission decision relies on your spring gpa being atleast a 3.5 like some have said earlier. Most likely you should be fine though
@shayanvafaee my admission letter doesn’t say i need to have at least a 3.5 gpa – instead, it says more generally that my admission is contingent upon official verification of academic records, satisfactory completion of course work, and avoidance of academic and behavioral misconduct… so that’s better than the specific 3.5 gpa requirement, but a D is not “satisfactory,” which is why i’m freaking out. i will definitely call someone tomorrow to discuss this, but i’m hoping they will understand the circumstance
@tc20498 ur fine, my friend failed gen Chem wasn’t rescinded, his major is economics. Since geo has nothing to do with ur major shouldn’t be a big deal.
@tc20498 your admission could get rescinded because you did not complete your coursework satisfactorily. talk to admissions, you might have to do another semester at your current college

@tc20498 I remember worrying about this and looking around CC but I couldn’t find anything. You are right that a C would be fine with the given conditions but a D may or may not be a problem. This is something you should really talk to admissions about. We hope to hear good news! Maybe perhaps you could also talk to your professor to make he/she reconsider.
@lilego69 go on myUSPS and make an account. You have to enter your zip code to make sure your address is eligible for the updates and have to verify your identity by answering a few questions.

Marshall Junior Applicant. Got a SGR May 6th sent my grades in today. The required documents thing went away within the hour. Hopefully I get my decision before June 1st. Finished with a 3.78. A in writing requirement and B in Calculus this semester.

Does anybody know how long it should take for the portal to reflect that you’ve sent in your updated transcripts? My school said that they were delivered yesterday, but I haven’t seen any change yet in the received documents section
Note: I have not received any decision yet and am a Marshall applicant but wanted to send in my spring grades before they potentially ask me to.

@oso766 if they mailed it, even if they were delivered, it may not have been processed yet. I’d give it at least until the end of the week. A direct upload to the portal would not take as long because it is already attached to your account while with an actual mailed transcript they would have to scan and upload it to your file which can take longer. They may have received it but they may not have sent it to the correct department yet.
@mellyjune Thank you! They e-mailed it so hopefully it’ll process faster. I’ll give it until Saturday and then maybe e-mail my counselor.

I’ve been a silent reader here since I thought that I would DEFINITELY be rejected because of my “weak” GPA compared to others(3.49, to be specific), but I got in anyway, which means those who have a comparatively low GPA like me and didn’t hear back yet still have their chance of admission.

maybe it’s just me- but are there any applicants (specifically Annenberg) that haven’t heard ANYTHING back yet? no rejection, acceptance, or an sgr… honestly starting to feel like I did something wrong and didn’t submit everything correctly lol. checking the portal everyday for a decision or a request for more information but i’ve gotten absolutely nothing since February 1.
