2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@hchung0719 Thanks! My extra curriculars consisted of being an elementary school tutor mainly- I focused on talking about that in my essays. Although I didn’t have anyone read over my essays, I did spend a considerable amount of time correcting and revising them.

Hope you hear back soon! Try not to think about it!

Are there any Viterbi acceptances other than CS and ME? I am still waiting for my industrial engineering

@Alpinyo im also industrial engineering and I got a SGR. Are you a sophomore or junior? Also what are ur stats?

A sophomore with a 3.42. I am us/international dual citizen currently at Boston University @greenpotatoe

@Alpinyo have u gotten a SGR? Idk if industrial engineering is as competitive as other engineering majors haha

@greenpotatoe Nothing yet, but I am out of the country so I am just waiting for the portal. Industrial is more of a lighter engineering…that’s why I chose it

@Alpinyo @greenpotatoe I am also an Industrial Engineer from Cal Poly Pomona, GPA: 3.57. I applied two weeks late tho, haven’t heard anything either. I don’t know if IE is as competitive, but since it may not be as competitive, that may just mean that a higher GPA may be required, but just throwing assumptions, USC is too unpredictable lol

Any other IE majors? I haven’t seen too many

Did anyone get the Norman Topping scholarship fund aid application as an email to complete? Anyone have any information on this if it is sent to everyone?

@SCA#hereIcome I applied 2/1 and haven’t heard anything back. Given how much acceptances have already been mailed out, I’m 99% sure I’m not getting in and have come to terms with it haha

@baseballlover21 yes we’re pretty sure everyone who applies for financial aid gets that email

Most of us got it a month ago though

y’all stop being depressing lmao there’s still more time left until the deadline, and admissions have told multiple people that they’re behind and don’t have all of them mailed out yet. besides, USPS may not always send a notification, and some people have gotten their decision after june 1st. take your mind off of waiting for the decision and honestly, what’ll happen will happen.

@amartinez571 I’ve lost track of my posts! Assuming this is about financial aid, nope they didn’t.

Okay so I called admissions and they said that they mailed out my decision yesterday, and it’s not showing up on Informed at all so I’m pretty sure it’s a rejection letter…

@ashurikko rejections also show up on the app. If it’s an incoming mail piece from USC, it’s a rejection or SGR, if it’s an incoming package it’s an acceptance.

@Skepta Well I guess I won’t know until it gets here since it’s not showing up for either haha!

To make myself feel better maybe, do rejection letters get sent out like a week after the portal updates or something like that?

@ashurikko Annenberg applicant with no news yet either /: What admissions office did you call and what did you ask them? I want to know if they sent anything out for me.

@brixnx we’re using usps “informed delivery” to track packages coming to our addresses

You can set it up online itll take a minute or two

Also for the usps app, incoming package notifications can come in any time of the day, whereas for incoming mail notification its always between 7:30am-8:00am.
