2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

Annenberg applicant here. Mail came. Nothing from USC (I live in LA). I guess it will be here tomorrow?

@con1287 the past couple of days have been rough. It is so hard to concentrate and remain relaxed. Stress/anxiety levels are definitely super high right now.

Annenberg applicant and nothing in the mail today /:
(live in the greater Los Angeles area-- the suburbs)

@con1287 I found out on my portal about my rejection weeks before I received a physical letter. It is (usually) the case that you get your package before your portal updates, but some people (usually those that live far away from USC) have had their portals update before receiving their acceptance packages.

Generally,
Rejections show up on portal before anything physical in the mail.
Acceptances arrive in fun package form before portal updates.

Doesn’t first class mail mean rejection…?

I got accepted into USC for Spring 2018. I applied to Marshall school of business and my major is business admin. My gpa was 3.74. I go to a community college in Southern California.

@ashurikko no, packages are also sent via First Class Mail.

@ashurikko the packages aren’t like, actual boxes. they’re sorta hybrid envelope/boxes hence the first class mail.

did anyone get merit scholarship notification on their portal ?

I just know that I heard a beep when I got my acceptance packet and heard nothing when I got my rejection letter the year before, lol =\

where does the merit scholarship notification even show up?

I don’t know if Annenberg has a different way but my package was sent via priority mail (Viterbi).

I called admissions and they said it should be on the “admissions decision” page

But so far nobody got rejected yet. So is that means everything has been mailed at this time are acceptances?

That’s why I’m getting nervous. I thought acceptances are mailed out via priority mail, not first class

Did you have a letter of recommendation or anything?

Did you have a letter of rec?

Thought I should let anyone know that’s still waiting on housing, I was assigned to Parkside like an hour ago, and one of the guys I’ve been talking to about rooming with got into the village, so housing is moving pretty quick. I would definitely recommend waiting before you go ahead and sign a lease for an apartment!

@usc2563 @ashurikko Acceptances are mailed out via priority mail, not first class.

Well looks like I was rejected

@ashurikko how do you know?
