2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

Hey guys sorry if someone has already asked this but what is the deadline to committ to USC if you were accepted for spring term? I got my letter only a couple days ago and my financial aid package hasn’t come in yet. Is it still june 1?

@ParadoxicalFire yup it is still june 1. Those who are admitted near the deadline of June1 have two weeks to accepted the offer. Rule still applies to those admitted after June 1st, 2 weeks deadline.

@ParadoxicalFire my letter says that it’s June 1st or two weeks, which ever is later.

@srg999 nope, I was accepted and got my financial aid package and still haven’t gotten my transfer credit and my STARS report hasn’t updated. It’s 3-6 weeks after committing that you get the transfer credit report.

@USCorBerk I think, for the most part, only people who had been accepted had their noncustodial waivers approved. Except me, I think, because I got it approved one month before I was accepted. I honestly think mine was removed as early as it was because of a lucky call to financial aid.

@arentdogsgreat Mine was available five days later at midnight exactly.

anyone think we will find out at midnight tonight?

@ParadoxicalFire @pomeranian4rich I thought the deadline to commit for those who were accepted for Spring semester is August 1st? Because thats what it says in the Spring 2018 booklet thingy that came in the acceptance package.

Goodluck to you all! Regardless of the outcome, continue working hard and success will continue to come your way

@bxnditx @pomeranian4rich I’m not sure, I can’t find anything on the website. Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places lol. I was planning to call the office tuesday to ask. I can’t make a decision without getting the finaid package first so I need to ask them. thanks for your responses!

@USCorBerk This is what the email said:

Thank you for contacting the Financial Aid Office at the University of Southern California. We have received both your Non-custodial Parent Waiver / Appeal and your 3rd-Party Letter, verifying these circumstances. We will be reviewing these soon.

Please continue to be patient as you await a decision. This process happens independently of your admissions decision–and does not affect admission. We will release the appeals decision through your FAST page; please look for an email notification soon.

rejected, going to appeal.

rejected & appealing!

Rejected…

Rejected

When is the appeal due?

Annenberg reject too

rejected

They even wrote the Dean’s name wrong on the letter…

Annenberg applicant 4.0 sophomore-- rejected :frowning:

SOS Is this still how you appeal??

There is no formal appeal process for transfer applicants. Transfer applicants can appeal their decision by emailing their admission counselor with new and compelling information. If a student has previously applied to USC, the past application materials are still on file, however we will review your application as a new application to USC as there is new information and new coursework to evaluate.

anyone wanna make an appeal thread? (or is there one already) LOL
