@itslife123 Could you elaborate a little more? When I enrolled in CSCI 103 and CSCI 109, I’m almost 100% positive that dropping 109 also dropped 103 (I was playing around with my schedule). You can call/email to verify, but if the class states that the other is a co-requisite, you have to be enrolled at the other course at the same time or have completed it prior to taking the other course. However, the relationship is usually not symmetrical (which how the latter scenario even makes sense) - CSCI 103 is not a co-requisite of CSCI 109, so you could take CSCI 109 by itself.

Accepted for Fall 2017 as Economics major! I thought I would get in for Spring 2018 since I have not completed calc yet, but excited by this news! Now waiting on fin aid. Congrats to everyone else that has been admitted! My overall GPA was a 3.53 and I am transferring as a sophomore into Dornsife, in case that info helps anyone still waiting for a decision. Thank you to everyone that has helped me on this thread and elaborating on their situations, it is much appreciated!

I GOT ACCEPTED TO MARSHALL!!! Fall 2017, with a 3.83 overall GPA. I was SGR’d beginning of May and turned in my unofficial spring grades two weeks ago. I hope this helps.

Hi everyone who got admitted. What is the date of your acceptance letter and how are you notified the delivery of package? Since I am an international student, I am wondering when I will receive the package if I am admitted in this wave. I received sgr at the end of April and I turned my unofficial grade on May 20th. However the weird issue is that until yesterday my official transcript was processed. I am worried about when I will receive the decision.
@zettasyntax So I was asking cause of CSCI 103 and 109. I just called the Transfer Credit Dept and said that I did get credit for CSCI 103 and there’s nothing they can do about it on their end. However Viterbi said that on orientation most likely they will let me take the course if I want to. So I’m hoping for the best. Worst case I will audit the course, but I don’t think I will get the full experience in doing so.
@itslife123 If they’re saying you already gave you credit, I suppose they’d let you take the course, but you’d basically receive no credit toward your degree for it then - basically taking the class for “fun” but your grade would still be factored in your USC GPA. A few students audited CS 104 the summer I took it and the professor told those students not to attend the exams. Another bad thing about auditing a course is this “A course taken for audit is not included in enrollment for purposes of receiving financial aid.” However, if it doesn’t count for financial aid and you don’t really receive a grade while auditing, it’s pretty weird. I hope they just let you take the course and you don’t have to go through the hassles that auditing may present.

@nvz1997 I feel like i’m in a kinda similar boat as you. I sent in my SGR on the same day and got requested for extra financial aid info as well, but have yet to receive my decision. idk how to check the USPS? I have all my mail sent to a PO box so im not sure how to track what is being sent…anyways congrats on getting in!!
