2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

Is anyone from UCSC and knows which credits transfer? I’m a business management econ to business admin transfer.

@pantafootball2 yeah Whitney is my counselor

@tankle104 have you sent in your spring grades?

@pantafootball2 yeah I did! I sent them in June 6th. I still haven’t heard anything back. My portal hasn’t even updated acknowledging that I have sent them in. I figure it would of been done already but the USC Admissions Instagram page said last week everyone was out of the office. So I don’t think she was working last week. If i don’t see any changes to my portal or hear back about my decision some time next week I am going to call and see whats going on.

Although, I emailed whitney about my grades and she emailed me back saying she has received them. It is just a waiting game at this point. worst case scenario it is like 3-4 more weeks max before we hear back regardless.

what about you?

@tankle104 wow I could only imagine the waiting killing you cause it is for me and I haven’t even sent my grades (my schools doesn’t release them until Monday ) but hopefully when I do send them in it won’t take until mid July to get a decision.

What major are you?

@pantafootball2 You know I’ve just been keeping myself busy so I haven’t been thinking about it as much, that helps with the wait. It is possible you’ll hear back pretty fast. It just depends on how busy everyones counselor is. I turned mine in at a pretty bad time cause people are out of the office haha I am pretty confident I’ll hear back next week. Do you have any other schools you have been accepted to incase USC doesnt pan out?

I am a business major, so Marshall School of Business, you?

@tankle104 Well I’m currently SIR at ucla but I really don’t want to go there so Usc needs to happen:(… I’m also a business major ! I didn’t have the calc requirement done so that’s why I got SGR… ended up with a B in it so I’m a little worried but the transfer session I went to said marshal students with a B or A is what we should get in calc so I’m trying not to stress too much

How did you do for spring ? And what class were you missing

@pantafootball2 I hope you get in, looks like you have all the requirements!

you know I wasn’t missing any of the GE’s, so I find it strange that I got an SGR but whatever. I took 18 units and got straight As though. So hopefully I get accepted.

Wow @tankle104 that’s honestly surprising but with straight As you’re set

@pantafootball2 maybe! I have told myself that I will most likely get denied so that I have other things set up and am not too worried about it if I don’t get in, but if i do then great! either way I’ll be just fine. If i don’t go to USC for undergrad then maybe I will for graduate.

I’m assuming you also got As in English and calc requirement? @tankle104 and yes I tell myself that too but I really hope it doesn’t happen haha.

@tankle104 and @pantafootball2 I have Whitney as well. turned my grades in May 24th and still haven’t heard anything back. also am a business major

@hopeful usc2020 hey what requirements were you missing ?

How long do we have to wait for a decision after sending in our spring grades? And how do we know who our counselor is?

Sad to see the thread dead now :frowning:

Any girls looking for a roommate in USC housing? The roommate I was assigned to is iffy and I want to find a new one while reassignment is still open.

@pantafootball2 wasn’t missing requirements they just wanted to see another set of grades before making a decision.

Have not heard back. Starting to get nervous.

this wait is killing me!!! I received an SGR back in May…sent them in a week a half ago and now I am just checking the portal and this site every 5 minutes…ugh!

The only requirements I was not able to satisfy were the language. I have only one semester of Spanish (need two more) other than that I have met all transferable requirements with an over all GPA 3.8. I did receive a C in my Math requirement this Spring semester but with working full time and taking 5 classes… I am hoping they will over look that C since I am a Film/TV major.
