I JUST CHECKED MY PORTAL AND I GOT IN
Congrats @katienewsom24 :D! Did you receive your package yet?
How come my portal didn’t update???
@WinNer12 my portal didn’t update either
I think we’ll be hearing back next week sigh
Does anyone know if there is any on campus housing available?
@katienewsom24 What are your stats for fall and spring semester this year ?
@buizchick Thank you! I haven’t seen it yet because I need to go to the leasing office of my neighborhood to get packages, so I’m not sure if it’s been delivered.
@WinNer12 I got 4.0’s both semesters, I’ll post on the stats page soon!
Hey guys. I have been thinking about transferring next year. Unfortunately, I had a okay first year at my SUNY Community College with only a 3.3. I have a 1410/2400 SAT Score, but that doesn’t matter since I will be applying with the needed credits to cancel that HS stuff out. If my GPA is raised, and I have a few ECs under my belt, do you guys think I stand a chance? Thank you guys so much I really wanna go to this school after doing some extensive research. I wish I researched this stuff earlier and have taken classes more seriously. Will definitely aim for straight A’s second year!!
@welchie98 ECs are oddly unimportant to USC transfer admissions, so I’d recommend just taking transferable courses and keeping your GPA as high as you can. Also make sure you take as many GEs (transferable of course) as possible, making progress towards your potential USC degree will help you big time with admission. Good luck!
Still nothing on my portal … have a feeling the rejections are at the end
@pantafootball2 what are your stats if you don’t mind sharing? I haven’t heard back either…
Marshall applicant
-transfer gpa 3.5 no Ws
-Ges and pre req courses gpa is 3.71
- I finished every GE and pre req including Econ courses (full time both years) 59 units completed
@ahhhhhomg how about you?
@welchie98 make sure u only get 4.0 from here on out. Hopefully you’re currently taking some courses right now during the summer to boost up your GPA in time. Same with fall and winter (if it ends in time before apps are due). Usc rally digs upward trends so that should help you. I recall reading about someone who got in with a 2.8\3.8\4.0? Respectively to each semester. Best of luck!
@smh101 That’s initially what happened when I got accepted. A trick you can try is to call and ask them whether your decision has been mailed whatever it is. Most likely if your portal hasn’t been updated and they said it’s been mailed, it’s an acceptance.
@cfislander When I called earlier this week they said they’re still currently making assignments and they aren’t full yet. However whether you get housing or not literally depends on the day you put the application in so I’d suggest filling it out even before you pay or waiver your commitment fee.
@welchie98 Hey I’m transferring from CUNY!!! If you need any help from a fellow New Yorker HMU!
@penntousc hey man, I’m still very interested in transferring to USC. How is everything? Do you have any other tips? Because I’m about to make my schedule for school and want to make sure all of my credits are transferable to give me a greater chance at being accepted for transfer.

Got accepted into Dornsife! Got my package Saturday and portal updated Sunday, now just awaiting my financial aid package to make a decision. Does anyone know how long it’ll take to get your financial aid package after turning in further requested documents?
