postAlone, regarding your friend who won the I2E, do you know what his scores were?
Is he a first generation student?
crazy4info, is there a list of those who won the Invitation 2 Excellence scholarships? I am curious as to who won.
I get the feeling that without a so called āhookā you cannot earn one of the coveted few Faculty Scholarships. I too, feel mislead into believing that it was truly a scholarship competition, when really it seems to have been a lure. Well we were certainly lured into disappointment.
What do you mean by āhookā?
@TipToes2 āHookā as in something specific they are looking to attract (ie. first generation college student, underrepresented minority, from a specific geographical location, pursuing a specific major, NMF, etc)
nah heās not first gen and his scores are around the same as mine⦠33 act etc @TipToes2
isnāt carr p collins supposed to come out today? has anyone heard anything?
@TipToes2 Although it is a marketing event (as were similar events at other colleges that we went to), at least they do guarantee everyone a $2000 scholarship to pay back the costs of attending the event if you go to Baylor. Doesnāt help if you donāt end up attending, but it is a nice offer.
Does anyone happen to know what time the Friday reception typically begins? Trying to figure out if I need to take a full day off from work Friday (5 hour drive).
