2017 Windows on Wiliams (WOW) Discussion

Is anyone else here waiting for the August results?

Yes, so yes.
Williams is one of my favorite schools right now :slight_smile:

@jswani
Yes!

@Auracle @Volunteerism Awesome!! I’m super excited to hear back… just a few more days.

I tend to be shy about posting on forums, but since I commented on the Discover Swarthmore thread, I figured I should comment on here despite it being very, very late.

I also got into the Windows on Williams program (I applied in the first round) and am attending the September session. I look forward to meeting everyone there! Good luck to those waiting for the second round announcements also!

decisions are supposed to come out today! not feeling super confident after being rejected from discover swarthmore today, but i’m not urm nor low-income, so it’ll be ok. good luck to everyone today!

Rejected from Discover Swarthmore, but hoping for WOW. I don’t know how well the essay I submitted was, since it had to be from a English or History class and those aren’t my best subjects. I got a 100 on the paper, but I don’t know if it’s as well-written and intellectual as the rest of the applicants’ papers.

What time are decisions supposed to be out?

I’m going to WOW in September and I’m hoping that the ppl who are waiting for their decisions today hear good news. One of my friends called the Admissions Office and they said decisions will be released 3 PM ET

thank you @MaybeHarvard2022 ! :slight_smile:

And the refreshing begins…

I’m super nervous but hoping everyone gets in!

Refreshinnnnngggggg… how big of a role do SAT scores play in the admissions process for this fly in?

@oswidan I would say not too much… I’m fairly certain income/minority status are placed much higher.

Lol why is everyone stressing sooo much. Chiiill guys. Go drink some smoothie. Play a video game :slight_smile:

So this may be a stupid question, but I’ve read the entirety of this specific thread and some on the Windows On Williams EphBlog, and I’m still not confident I know the correct answer, so I’ll ask ya’ll. Those students that get into Windows On Williams and apply have what percent chance of being admitted? On the blog, it appears to be 85%-90% of the students. Is that right? If not, what is it?

Anybody heard back yet?

Nope

@MaybeHarvard2022 what happened to 3pm Eastern…?

@univbound101 call the office and ask
