Just got a no today! Applied to SCA and have been holding out with a bit of hope for a yes, but I think part of me knew I’d be getting a no. Shoutout to everybody getting acceptances this week! Your patience has definitely paid off.
For those who were denied, I strongly encourage you to appeal-even if you don’t feel you have a “compelling reason.”
If you didn’t receive an SGR, ask that USC consider your spring grades and reevaluate your competitiveness as a candidate.
If you had a medical or family emergency, use that.
When I was working on my appeal, no one dissuaded me from writing one but no one -my friends nor family believed it would work( I didn’t even believe it would work, but I didn’t want to leave any stones unturned).
Just writing one shows your serious about attending and speaks to your character and drive.
Remember if only a few people appeal, odds are in their favor. Also, USC has spots to fill and not everyone whose been accepted will be able to attend for financial or other reasons. You can get their spot if you appeal! You’ll still get aid if you qualify.
Again, I highly encourage you to appeal-but manage your expectations. What do you have to lose but some time? Your opportunity cost of not appealing is a chance of admission.
Does it imply USC has verified that they received our SGR if the transcript request disappears from Required Documents?

@anotherday9 I heard back yesterday (Thursday) and submitted my grades on Monday! I got in! I am also a Real Estate major, good luck 
Does anyone’s portal has only “application status” and “submit documents” (two guys here said it’s a sign of rejection) and when you click the “application status”, the “current message” has a link “admission communication”?
Clicking on “admission communication”, it will download a file with code, interspersed with same sentences in “admission status”(like "You can track the status of your application here. Check back periodically to see any new information that is requested. …)
has anyone else had issues accepting admission?? it keeps saying error when i try… is it because I’m accepted for spring?

@myalbc my admissions letter said to commit by June 1 or within two weeks of the notice - whichever is later
How does USC know you’re apart of the TTP? And I submitted my official transcript but according it won’t get to SC until early June. Should I just go ahead and submit my unofficial transcript on my portal?
@mavsp1 my letter didnt say any dates but it could be because I’m a spring admit? i keep trying to accept the admission and pay the deposit but it just keeps saying error
Ok guys so I got an SGR May 2nd and barely sent my spring grades tonight. After sending my transcript I checked into my usc portal and saw that I was rejected last night on the 24th!? How could they reject me if they didn’t even see my spring grades yet? I’m a Comm major btw

@MeowModulus But I barely received my grades today! in the SGR it said to submit before June 30th, so what is going on??
