Anyone knows if SGR are evaluated independently from the whole application? Don’t want to come off as bragging, but I aced all my spring classes, is it promising that I can get in? (Need to pay next year’s rent and stuff) thanks! And congrats to everyone that got accepted!!!
if i submit my housing application and get paired with roommates can i still withdraw if i find housing off campus? i want to keep all my options but i dont wanna be an a-hole and flake on someone if i decide to live off campus

@clairen in the same position as you! As of now I’m committed to another school and not going to withdraw unless I get an official letter. Don’t think you should either because even though you most likely will get in, you shouldn’t even take a small chance
I think there will be a wave of mostly rejections tomorrow with a few acceptances
hey guys is there a transfer group for admitted students fall 2018??
So I just received my financial aid package and there’s no way I can afford to go here unless I appeal and somehow get $20,000 in gift aid lol. Anyone have suggestions/experience appealing financial aid? What have the outcomes looked like?
What have you guys gotten in financial aid approximately? Talking an approximate % in Grants total (just Grants). If that’s not too intrusive, of course (personal information wouldn’t be shared though)
@sunnydramatic I just called USC housing and they said they haven’t started looking/assigning transfer student housing yet. Assignments will start in mid June. As of yesterday, the guy said there were 150 transfer student housing applicants, and its first come first serve basis.

@jasonspyres I thought they release decisions randomly and not on specific days.
Just talked with someone on the phone for USC housing and they said that there are technically no rooms for transfers on campus. The only way transfers can get on campus housing is if someone who already has a room cancels or doesn’t pay.
@armadaswim Which I am sure happens plenty. The bigger question is just how many transfers are waiting for a room.
I submitted my grades for spring since I got a SGR but I am losing hope because I got a C in calc but I got As in everything else. I’m at a solid 3.8 now and I have been in contact with my USC counselor for about a year so I think there is still a chance :-SS Also I see people talking about housing and I don’t think you guys should worry. My friend got admitted last year in mid July and still found on campus housing!
They said decisions would be out by the first. Today is the last day before the first. Would not that mean they will be release decisions by tomorrow?
