so im taking a different language at USC that ive never taken before and my counselor told me to take the foreign language placement exam still but i emailed the language program coordinator and she told me she’ll issue me a D-clearance so i dont have to take the exam… lol
accepted today as a spring admit for Price…sent spring grades in last week
@mavsp1 Yeah, that’s pretty much what I thought would happen 
I figured department clearance would be needed, but I still find it odd that they would even recommend the placement exam if you’re starting at level I, lol. It’s not like you can place any lower

Got accepted for the fall this morning but is there a way where i can defer to spring? I know its weird cause most people wanna start in the fall but theres an awesome professor at my cc that i would love to take in the fall. Literally hes this good that im willing to defer to the spring. Is defering to spring even possible lol?
@phunphunphun Congrats on your acceptance! Yes, as a transfer you can defer up to one semester (not for year). Email your advisor and ask for a form to request deferral of enrollment till spring, complete it and send it in. Be sure to follow it along, ask how long a typical request takes for approval, and be sure you get it back approved, etc. Don’t want to be in limbo all summer. They should turn it around rather quickly.
Too bad there isn’t a system in place to trade with fellow CC poster, eh?!! There’s a few that would love your fall spot.

@phunphunphun the dererral form and directions are online. Go to USC’s undergrad admissions main page and deferral request is located there amongst other things. There is a specific person you email it to in admissions and her email is given.

omg you have got to be kidding @csumit. I can’t believe you haven’t heard yet. Every time I see 5 knew posts I race to open them looking for your name. Have you contacted them or did they ever give you a timeframe? This seems so unusual. You are 4.0 TTP for goodness sake. What is going on? I have a total love/hate thing for TTP btw.

for those of you who were accepted, how long did it take for you to get your transfer credit report? they said to wait 3-6 weeks, but i just wanted to see how long it took other admitted students. i came from an out-of-state private university and the only thing that has been processed on my report so far is the community college classes i took in high school.
