@Tuttwirl my daughter still waiting for decision. Uploaded unofficial transcript with spring grades to the portal about 3 weeks ago. Official transcript sent both electronically and by mail a week ago. The wait continues. She has 4.0 at ccc. Good essays. A few EC’s but mostly working 30 hrs a week.
@Tuttwirl I’m a TTP still waiting and I sent in my spring grades 3 weeks ago. I had a 3.94 gpa (freshman) and great essays reviewed by several English professors at my school
Sorry about a repeat/spam, but is there a thread for 2019-2020 transfers already? If not, could I start one already?
@StipendAwarded No one is stopping you from making it, but there’s no guarantee anyone will post in it. lol
@Tuttwirl I’m still waiting. I don’t think we’ll be getting a decision until July, after the June 30th deadline has passed for people to upload their spring grades. Seems those of us who are still waiting are on a competitive shortlist and will be ranked against each other for the remaining spots in our prospective colleges and majors. Not sure why some people got decisions and why the rest of us have to wait, but I think it’s very unlikely to get a decision before july now. The wait is truly dreadful, and tbh, at this point, I’m just assuming I did not get in. Already registered for classes, etc., for the fall at my current school.
@scarletred I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out in July, but it truly isn’t fair. Housing and classes for us will be less desirable. They really should ensure that all transfers are notified in a timely matter. I am an incoming sophomore and signed up for fall classes at my current uni already as well. Just in case. I’m sure a lot of us are incoming sophomores as it seems many outright acceptances and SGR notified people were juniors. Just my observation. While I’d like to see an acceptance this week, my cheerful outlook is being worn down quite a bit. I don’t care what semester or FA package or housing I get, I just want a decision! I have a couple of USC people (possible grants) waiting for a decision from admission on me and I don’t want to keep them waiting much longer. Should I call admission and tell them about this new development? It would be within the TMB. (I’m a baton twirler lol). There is possibly grants and things that go along with being part of the band like that and so they want to know if I’ve received any news on a timely final decision. This stress is intense…
Update: looked at stats from last year (2017-18 decisions) some were sent the end of this week/early next week. We could possibly have a few decisions coming in… Trying to remain positive lol!
OMG I GOT IN. WILL POST STATS LATER. ITS BEEN A DREAM COME TRUE
Found out online first when i logged in randomly. Should expect the package soon.
Viterbi CS applicant here, non-TTP. Has anyone else not received any correspondence at all? I haven’t received an SGR and it’s going pretty deep into June territory now :<
How difficult will it be to find housing if I find out I have been accepted in July?? Is it even possible to get decent housing?
Definitely make it!
Anything yet for SCA? I applied as a transfer and haven’t heard anything yet for Fall '18.
@Tuttwirl Idk, my counselor actually told me I wouldn’t be getting a decision till July, but who knows.
@paintwithcrayons I think you should call or email your counselor at this point. Something may have went wrong. Most of the people posting in here, like me, who are still waiting for a decision already got SGR
For those who turned in a reassignment housing form, I got my reassignment today. I got changed from Troy Hall 1B3P to Century 2B4P-LG.
Ok, I started the thread for next year. But here is my final question on the previous year’s thread. Sorry if it seems out of place:
On languages, my counselor said that I had to take a placement test regardless, but I want to do courses before I transfer. I know people on this thread have told me that only Spanish suffices, but could they (USC) accept Japanese? I just need to know ASAP, since I am signing up for courses at GMU now and I have to decide between Spanish and Japanese. Should I email my USC counselor again to ask if Japanese is ok?
Question, I received a spring grade request a while back and just sent my transcripts electronically, but when I log back into my portal to try and see if they have received it, the portal is different and only gives two options; schedule a tour or join a mailing list. I don’t get it
@StipendAwarded Look at your school’s articulation history with USC. If there isn’t one, definitely call. From ASU to USC, Japanese does transfer over. However, Spanish it depends on how the course was taken. USC only accepts some as equivalents. My situation is that my Lang. credits transfer but not as Lang. credits only as electives. ASU only offer hybrid or online foreign language classes and that it what depends on if they will transfer as language credits or electives. (Helpful if anyone is transferring from ASU) Just my personal college you should check the website or call your counselor!
for housing: if I don’t choose any roommate, will they still pair me with people that have similar interests, or will it be random?
Has anyone contacted USC in terms of sending in spring grades? Grades for my school are due on the 18th, is it okay if I send my grades out that day or do I need to contact them?
@StipendAwarded Definitely start one!!
@LNK1999 I have!
