2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@rickyandmorty I wouldn’t rely on snail mail. Print them and send an unofficial copy of your spring grades by either emailing, faxing, or uploading a copy of your grades. Get them in asap. Then if the only way you have to get official grades in is to mail them, they can follow the unofficial you already submitted. Sooner is better.

I’m sorry snail mail? I’m trying my best to send them in by tomorrow but grades will not be on my transcript till tonight :frowning: @CADREAMIN

@Rickyandmorty Using an address, a stamp, and mailing it = snail mail = slow. Does your school have a way to send it online? Or at least submit them yourself through your portal or take a photo of your report card and attach to email to your advisor to get it there quickly, if you are mailing the official one. Best to get them however you can as quickly as you can then back it up with the official.

@Rickyandmorty I second @CADREAMIN . My daughter printed off her unofficial transcript from her CC . Then scanned and uploaded as a PDF and sent to USC portal. When her official transcript was available from her CC she ordered it sent to USC electronically ( fast) AND snail mail. Just to cover all bases ha! Still waiting for decision.

@CADREAMIN i sent my unofficial copy on the portal about a week ago, but the request for my transcript for the sgr is still there under required documents. Should I call them or just wait? My counselor is out of office until June 25th.

Oh yes! I was going to do it the way I sent in my fall transcript which was online. @CADREAMIN

Thank you guys!! @sugarcane1 @cadre

@schrutedollas, it sounds like they still need your official transcript, did you have that sent that from your cc or 4 year? Like @sugarcane1 mentioned, your cc or any 4 year should be able to send it electronically. You can call and ask them to clarify what they have and what is still needed.

If any of you have any questions, don’t ever hesitate to call admissions and ask - that is what they are there for, you don’t have to wait for your advisor to ask a question. Particularly now when time is winding down.

Anyone here an sgr that goes to PCC? Waiting for grades to be finalized is driving me insane

Anyone know the deadline to apply for spring 2019? I cant find it on google for some odd reason

I am not 100% sure but I believe the counselor told me that you can’t apply for the spring semester at USC. They just offer spots during the spring @GoodAfternoonSir

Oh cool. Also do you think earning 6 AA’s and having honors certification help me get admitted?

I just want a few people’s input since I have this option to do so .

Just FYI even though my daughter uploaded unofficial transcript , plus electronic and us mail for official…her portal CONTINUES to show the SGR request. However the document required has disappeared from her “submit doc” tab finally. And we can see on the received documents tab they have her transcript ( grades). She also chose to email her counselor and let her know the grades were uploaded and sent. She was replied to. The wait continues…,

@sugarcane1 I still can’t believe we face issues like this in 2018. Colleges should make it easier for us to apply and get admitted to. I’m not saying it hasn’t been easier over the past couple of years, I’m just saying we can be better than this.

@sugarcane1 @GoodAfternoonSir I got my decision in literally 36 hours. It all depends on the person. Some of my friends have yet to hear after 3+ weeks. The admissions office obviously has their reasons for holding out, give them some slack. Just stay optimistic!

@Rickyandmorty True, you can’t apply for spring semester.

Correct. You cannot specifically apply for spring, only fall. But some people are only offered spring.

@scarrlett well it’s up to you… If they are GE classes that are able to transfer then why not

Hi I’m new to this discussion and am looking to transfer to USC for sophomore in Fall 2019. I’ll be starting college this Fall. I know how crazy it sounds. I haven’t even started college but am already planning to transfer. I would really appreciate if anyone here can give me advice and insights to navigate the transfer process. I really want to attend USC! Thanks in advance!

@ConfusionNation That makes me feel a lot better. I’ve done work outside of school in my field so I’m hoping that gets me points too! lol
