I like watching football and I am a Jets fan. This year Jets are picking third and I have more rooting interest in the draft. Watching NFL Network and there was the Red Carpet where draft prospects show up. Some show up with their parents. It was an interesting feeling to watch those parents. They are basically us. Waiting for a team to draft their babies just like we are hoping good colleges pick our kids. Parents are parents everywhere. We put our life on hold for our kids so that they can be their best. The parents I watched today made me sympathize with them a lot.
Just wanted to share. Good luck to all parents who have their kids in college admission journey for the upcoming year.
I have a friend who is hoping her son gets picked up by the NFL. They have invested a lot in his education, and he will be fine either way, but that’s his dream, so his parents want it for him.

I’m guessing that you mean invested financially as to be pre-college programs and mental energy through the college years. Are there any college graduate recruits who weren’t on full athletic scholarships? Haven’t heard of any Ivy or D3 players going through the process , but maybe I missed something.
And I’m watching one former student and a bunch of my alma mater guys intently. hoping they all get contracts!
Every so often an Ivy kid will be drafted. D3 probably not.
