I am NOT the biggest football watcher or fan here for sure. But after yesterday’s games - particularly my team, Green Bay vs. Da Bears…how can I NOT comment!?
I unfortunately did not see the 2nd half - I turned it off and went to bed after the disastrous first half…only to be woke at 11:30pm by my phone blowing up with my Packer loving kids sharing the news of the “miracle on Packer Street”. I might have been in the “keep Aaron out and don’t risk a further injury” but MAN, do not dispute the tenacity of that guy!
Packer fan here. What a game! I was switching back and forth between the game and the CNN RBG documentary because it was too painful to watch the Packers flame out… But wow! By the beginning of the fourth quarter I was glued to the game!
Really nervous about the Packer Viking game, though.
@yourmomma , your team looked good and the response to their play on media was good. It was one game and some extraordinary circumstances with Rodgers - you have the whole season ahead! Look forward!
Minnesota may be the best team in the league, but Jimmy G didn’t look so hot yesterday. He made a few dumb passes. But we suffered some significant injuries to our best WR and to our OL. Defense looked pretty good, giving up 17 points on the road in a dome, even without their best player, Reuben Foster.
Despite a couple dropped passes in the end zone and lost fumble at the 1 yard line, with all the other maladies of the day (D lineman jumped offsides and gave the Vikings a first down when everyone knew Cousins wasn’t going to snap the ball), the 9ers were still in it at the end of the game.
Last night Rodgers cemented his place with the names of Montana, Tom Brady, etc. Good game. I think the Bears will eventually have to give up on Tribisky, just like the Broncos had to with their #1 draft pick Paxton Lynch.
Eagles and Titans fan here. Eagles good. Titans might as well pack it in- 3 serious injuries in the longest game in history! Weather delays, mistakes, a fight…
I don’t care for football, so I don’t watch it. But I do like to gamble, and I did win a couple of duckets yesterday when Baltimore smoked Buffalo.Thank you NJ for allowing legal online sports betting.
I am a Patriots fan (MA native, not a bandwagon fan!) but last night I was rooting for the Packers - that was amazing! I was also happy for the Browns - too bad they couldn’t finish it though. Happy to see the Pats win of course but they had me scared for a bit as always.
I guess it was a bad game to miss, @threebeans, but I can’t blame you about those Bears fans. DH, DD and my new son-in-law (a Vikings fan!) will be at the next Packers game next weekend.
