Anyone have Aaron brown as their counselor
I have Sarah Aguirre as a counselor it’s extremely hard to contact her and I haven’t even spoken to her once. Apparently whenever I call she’s been on vacation for like 3 months.
@USCAAA same with Bruce Grier
has anyone else had their spring grade request randomly disappear???
@beachlover48 that’s weird. Did you send your spring grades already? Maybe they don’t need them anymore… you’ll probably get an acceptance. If I was you I’ll call admissions to verify…
Does the whole admission team look at everyone’s application? Or does just our specific counselor makes the decision how does it work?
@USCAAA don’t hold me to this, but my understanding is that your specific counselor looks at it first to sort out any definite no’s and then presents the rest of them to small few of the counselors that make a decision. I have no source for where I heard this from, so I might be making this up.
Has anyone with Bryan Green found out yet?
@atldreamer4 I heard that years ago myself here on CC (maybe the 2014 thread?). He claimed to be a friend of somebody that works in admissions, so I don’t know how reliable his info was. He also claimed that students with advanced units (like myself) are usually spring admits because USC figures they won’t mind starting later since they’ve already been in college for so long. That one I thought was maybe true, but then I see other people with 90+ units get in for fall. So maybe not.
One of you should try to work in the admissions office for your work study and see if you can spill the details here for us
Anyone have christine vargas as their counselor? She never replies to my emails
There might be another small wave of acceptances today at 5pm. I will check the portal by then.
@GoodAfternoonSir I do apparently. It said on the website mine was Hope but she eventually emailed me and said I was reassigned to Christine back in like, December I’d say? Christine was very responsive to me towards the beginning of the admissions process. We went back and forth emailing a few times because I had a few questions and I also email her with updates since I took 2 short term classes this semester so when they would finish I’d email her the grade. Although the past few weeks, she hasn’t been responsive. So in my opinion, since she was always very communicative and willing to help up until mid-March, she’s most likely going through apps.
@sagaciousforever how do you know? Fingers crossed ? tho! Good luck to y’all ?. I’m anxiously waiting…
@transferusc88 I emailed her alot during february and she never responded to my emails
@Brendyb10 I said “there may”. Good luck!
@GoodAfternoonSir @transferusc88 USC counselors are very busy now as they are a part of the admission committee who make decisions on acceptances, rejections, and SGRs.
My counselor usually reply me within two business days. However, He hasn’t replied the email that I sent on Monday yet. But I am not worried because he probably saw my update.
Stay patient and the best is yet to come.
@sagaciousforever @GoodAfternoonSir Totally agree. Don’t worry if they haven’t been answering you. Honestly, I take it as a good sign because that means they’re busy looking through our apps.
@sagaciousforever I’m assuming that they will release decisions around 5pm for this week and next week right?
@GoodAfternoonSir @sagaciousforever I’m hoping! I’m an Annenberg applicant, so probably around next week for me. But who knows at this point right lol
@GoodAfternoonSir I assume so… most of the time they send acceptances at the end of April beginning of May. However, if you don’t get an acceptance by the beginning of this month it does not mean that you’re going to be rejected.
