2019-2020 USC Transfer

@FemmeFilmFatale It even sucks from my end as somebody who’s already been admitted. I’m dying to find out how it goes for everyone else here!

@HeyItsNick wait wait wait hold up, JULY?

@maheralsakkaf Yeah, people who got SGRs will be waiting a bit.

Hey everyone, I hope you all are hanging in there. @CADREAMIN As a Marshall applicant, do my chances of getting accepted decrease as it gets closer to May 31? (since, I’ve heard they release their rejections around the last week of May, usually)

Got nothing. Hey we live another day can’t be mad at that

because I’ve yet to be SGR’d im just going to assume may 31st is the date to expect a decision unless USC decides they want to be cute and release them earlier hahaha @FemmeFilmFatale

@maheralsakkaf I’ve been going off the dates they traditionally release them but I guess everything is different this year.

Really hope a Marshall acceptance wave comes. They asked me for an updated transcript on May 1

I was admitted May 1st to Marshall with no spring grade update requests. Legit nothing

Many of us are stressed out, and worried about our decisions. Rightfully so. It’s not something to take lightly. But it could be worse. As I’m typing this, tears streaming down my face. My uncle passed away less than 15 mins ago .so please hang in there. It honestly could be worse.

@Fcb1458 Hi, I checked my portal today and saw that I got the “gaps in educational history” as well. Have you found out what exactly it is that we have to submit? I emailed them just now, but I am worried that it would take too long for them to respond.

Hey, I actually just emailed my counselor and she said it was a mistake on my application and just took that requirement off because I didn’t have any gaps in educational history. Just email your counselor and see what she says.

@CookieMnstr I’m very sorry for your loss. Hopefully you’ll hear some good news from USC soon!

@CookieMnstr Hugs to you. Sorry for your loss. Truly.

are you a jr that applied to Marshall or an incoming sophomore? @katyamzz

@gonnatranser I feel you. I was admitted as a freshman to SCA for film production, but couldn’t go cuz I couldn’t afford it!

Why can’t USC tell me if I am in or not? I have UCLA waiting and that June 1 deadline is approaching lol

@CookieMnstr So sorry to hear about your loss :frowning: I took my uncle’s passing really bad. I was super close to him. I had a world-changing event occur about a month before commencement a couple years ago. My mom was run over by a huge garbage truck (the driver was texting). It completely destroyed her leg. If the truck had run her over in any other fashion, she would likely not be here with me today. I remember seeing all these voicemails on my phone as I walked out of my phonology class and I had such a bad feeling in my heart. It sucks that my intuition was right and something had happened to her. She was released from the hospital the very next day after commencement ceremonies. I wish she would have had the chance to see me graduate/walk, but I made sure to show her my cap and gown before I went off and I dedicated a speech to her during the Chicano ceremony (we all got to give little 30 second speeches).

The wait for us transfers does seem unbearable, but you will all get your decisions soon enough. There’s still over 3 weeks left, so there’s still so much time. You just have to be patient. And even if your decision comes at the tail end when the batch of rejections is usually released, all hope is not lost. I for sure thought I was getting rejected when June 1st rolled around and I still had no update, but I was accepted 5 days later. Patience is key. I don’t know how I put myself through this waiting game twice. I waited so much longer the first time around because of my SGR.

today’s the day I get my decision, I can feel it lol

@mapofthesoul @CADREAMIN @zettasyntax thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.
