2019-2020 USC Transfer

@sagaciousforever If I don’t get in I will be really really sad. I would like to participate in the Renaissance Program and declare a double major in spring 2020. In Summer 2020 I would like to apply for an internship and work directly with USC to help me score one. I really want to take advantage of the resources USC has to offer.

USC if you’re reading this, give me a chance to show what I’m made of!

@GoodAfternoonSir Best of luck to both of us!

I want USC so badly as well.

I just got an SGR, but I won’t be done with finals until next Tuesday and I don’t know how many more days it would take for my professors to grade those papers so as to assign me a grade. Additionally I will be out of the country by next Friday. I’m afraid I won’t be able to get an unofficial transcript before I leave, and the official one would take way too many days to be made. Should I write to my counselor to explain the situation? Also, would submitting SGR late lower the chance of getting in, since decisions are made on a rolling basis? Thank you.

IM SO FRICKIN TIRED OF WAITING. I REALLY WANT TO KNOW BY TOMORROW.

sorry had to relieve some built up stress

It is also possible that they’ve sent out packages instead of posting on the portal like they did last week. It seems they mix-and-match how they notify students in years past. So perhaps some of us will see something in the mail this weekend

@HeyItsNick Definitely possible! Especially if they’re playing hooky to celebrate graduation or something, haha. Maybe some of you will get packages tomorrow or Saturday. Fingers crossed that some of you get decisions

Wowzers, I graduate tomorrow… my cap is still blank… I really wish I could put “USC” on it… WHEN WILL THE WAIT BE OVER??? Also, does anyone know how many waves Marshall has?

As far as notifying us of decisions goes. I have heard that USC sends an email about an update in the portal but have heard from other people that they just update the portal or even mail a decision first. I have been checking all 3 everyday lol

HEY guys, I’m new here. I was part of the large pool of incoming juniors who got accepted on May 1 into Marshall. To anyone else in here who was accepted, do you have any idea on when they get back to us on our housing application? My assumption is later rather than sooner but I have no idea. Best wishes to everyone that’s still waiting!!

@poolsideconvo78 yeah you’re right, I was got an email saying “There is an update to your admission status to view in your Applicant Portal. Click here to go to your portal.” The package in the mail didn’t come in till about 3-4 days later

My spring grades are out but I haven’t gotten an SGR. Do you guys think I should upload like a screen shot of my spring grades on the portal or should i just send them a new transcript?

@daniiellesara Yes post it to portal

I don’t think we will find anything out today because today is USC graduation so everything might be closed :frowning:

it’s such a bittersweet moment: im attending my girlfriend’s graduation ceremony at USC and im still waiting the decision to even get in this school. Hope everything will be end in the best.

If we didn’t receive a SGR, will it even matter to send in our spring grades. Won’t that defeat the purpose for all of the other applicants who received a SGR? If everyone is going to send in their spring grades with/without a SGR then that would mean everyone has a SGR.

@neilsola Thanks! Do you think I should do it under mid-year Transcript? That’s really the only upload option on my portal that would make some sense

@daniiellesara Yeah probably if it’s the only sensible option

How many people total out of everyone who gets SGR’s get admitted?

@Skillslayer24 Not sure, but I was checking last years thread and a good amount got in. As long as you end your spring semester strong, you’ll still have a good chance.
