@GoodAfternoonSir Transfer might be different but I know for sure that Pepperdine does not care too much about GPA. But yeah, the higher your GPA is the higher your chance is.
@GoodAfternoonSir lol I’m not. I had to call some guy named Peter Walton and he told me. I have the email and everything.
@sagaciousforever ucr and chapman
@woshua Wishing you all the best! If you do mind sharing what is your GPA?
@woshua You think I can call USC admissions and ask? Or should I just wait for my decision on the portal?
woshua may need to give more clarification on how he received his decision early (?) before all of us start heckling admissions on the phone. it may make those in the office less friendly towards those of us with genuine questions.
I heard of someone getting rejected (who had TTP) a couple weeks ago but thats about it
@sagaciousforever 3.45
@GoodAfternoonSir Not sure, I think you’re better off asking @CADREAMIN or @zettasyntax
@TeriYaki1 We’re talking ab Pepperdine
If I just received my final grades from my spring semester, should I mail my official transcript to USC or electronically send it?
I know on the transfer page it says mail official transcripts, but I electronically sent one from another college and they still accepted it. Thanks!
electronically.
While I know Computer Science decisions aren’t out yet, I got a C in Calc 2 when I was on track for a high B.
Not sure if I should just withdraw my app or wait for the inevitable L from USC.
I did not get SGR. Done 2 semesters with a 3.76 cummulative before this, and a 4.0 in the fall semester. Submitted my 32 ACT.
I wouldn’t withdraw your app or let them know you got a C. I’d just see and wait - if you get accepted, you can contact them and hope for the best. If you get an SGR, or rejected, then well you didn’t ruin your own chances and it just happened.
I assume if I am accepted, I’ll have to send in my transcript for credit evals, correct? I’m not sure if there’s a minimum grade you have to get in the pre-reqs for them to transfer. I have never gotten a C in my time in college, so I’m not sure how much of a dealbreaker this.is.
Yes, there is a minimum grade, it is a C. It’d probably be a dealbreaker if reported prior to acceptance (or during an SGR). I’m not sure if they would rescind an admission decision based on one C but it’s possible although I’d bet it is more likely that you could get away with it.
(But to be fair, I don’t work for admissions. It’s only my opinion based on reading threads about similar situations.)
If you are above a 3.3 it should be fine. I heard the acceptance letters say to maintain a 3.3 in your last semester
So did any marshall Freshman applicants get in without SGR and would like to share their stats. Im a freshman trying to transfer as a sophomore and I have a 4.0 in fall and will finish with 4.0 in spring as well but got SGR even though I completed Calc and english reqs in the fall. Kinda worried that I might get stubbed a spot in marshall despite my 4.0 and high academic classes.
@ottogi I feel like so many people on this thread have a 4.0 to the point where it seems normal now lol. Don’t be surprise if you get rejected with perfect grades honestly.
did anyone from SCA hear back yet? I got into NYU Tisch but I’m still wondering about USC.
Still no financial aid package…
