2019-2020 USC Transfer

I’m having a 4.0 GPA and probably another 4.0 this semester, applying to Marshall but not hearing anything back from USC. So stressful here :’( Should I submit my unofficial transcript as soon as I have my spring grade?

Let’s be positive guys! We’re gonna be fine.

If you have good spring grades, submit them. With or without getting an SGR.

does usc send out decisions on weekends?

I’m curious too…

Any annenberg majors get anything yet? Public relations or communications? I think we are the last to hear from usc ?

@filmmajorusc Perhaps not in the form of a portal update, but I received my acceptance packet on a Saturday

Good luck to everyone!

@sagaciousforever how hard is to get into Pepperdine Seaver college as a transfer?

Lol I literally live in dead center of Orange so there’s no way they would send the package from here

@woshua Did you apply to Pepperdine? I got into Pepperdine as a freshman and attended there.

For transfer, I believe Pepperdine has the same difficulty level as UCSD, UCI, UCSB, and UCD.

But I prefer Pepperdine over UCI, UCSB, and UCD.

Pepperdine does not place that much emphasis on GPA and I know some transfers who got in with a 3.3-3.5 GPA. It cares a lot about your essays. But favorable admitted students tend to have between a 3.53 and a 3.9.

For undergraduate freshman admission, it has a 34 percent of acceptance rate.

@sagaciousforever I don’t want to be admitted for spring. I won’t know what to do for fall lol, I’d just be waiting and waiting…

IF you are able to see your acceptance package on informed delivery, it will clearly be from the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

It does not come from Orange
It does not come from Pitney Bowes

IF you can see it it will say UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

As a parent, I wish my D could have experienced that once in a lifetime mailbox moment; instead we had a FaceTime portal moment. Don’t get me wrong. That moment was precious as well. I understand your level of stress and anxiety, but it’s the weekend, if a box appears today please enjoy the moment.

Good luck all!

@GoodAfternoonSir Everyone hopes to get into Fall! At this point, let’s hope for the best.

May 1st is only a small wave so do not let that discourage you.

yea, I got rejected for fall 2019. I basically called them and they told me it was because of my low gpa. @sagaciousforever

@woshua Whaat??? How did you convince them to tell you your decision?

If you’re joking it’s not funny, im having a lot of anxiety right now

@woshua I am sorry to hear that.

I think GPA matters more for transfer students. Honestly, I think anyone has a great shot if they have a 3.5 or higher.

What schools did you get into? Best of luck!

@Maxxxxxxxxx That’s not true at all. I went to a USC talk at my school around October and the counsellor told us that the freshman rate was drop because they over admitted last year but the transfer student won’t get affected by that.

@sagaciousforever Really? I thought if you have a 3.6 or higher then you have a good shot. Correct me if im wrong

Today is UCSD Transfer Triton Orientation, so I am visiting UCSD now (since I got in as a transfer) and I find that UCSD is better than Pepperdine academic and library wise. The class size, campus, and vibe, however, I still think Pepperdine is better.
