@transferusc88 I love your perspective and the attitude you’ve chosen to have while waiting for decisions. I wish I could be a little more positive like you! USC is probably being super thorough with their admissions decisions because they’ve been caught in the middle of a huge scandal and they probably do need more time to appropriately review an application holistically. These are my general emotions right now. Since I’m human and I’ve waited so long for a decision, I can’t help but feel like I don’t really matter to these admission boards because I’m a transfer student. In some cases transfers don’t hear back till June-July. I know that the admissions process is very long, but I can’t help but feel like we aren’t priorities. I just went to Bruin day at UCLA yesterday, and I felt so welcomed and valued and just important as a freshman admit as a transfer. It just sucks and it’s really spirit crushing when it feels like your dream school has put you on the back burner.
@transferusc88 thank you for that, I’ve been trying to keep up that mindset with this whole admissions process. I’m semi-content where I am right now and USC was the only school I applied to because it’s the only place I could imagine myself happier. But I’ve come to terms with the fact that if I’m meant to stay at San Diego State I will and I’ll understand why when I look back. I feel like they have to start cranking out decisions this week because we’re pushing third week in may with only one wave of acceptances, the wait will be over sooner or later everyone… as USC says fight the f- on everyone! just two weeks left!
i got a sgr but since my school ends in june and does not have an unofficial transcript, can i just get my current grade listed and signed on the midterm report and send it to my counselor?
I called because I also got a SGR and had a similar idea ( I won’t get my final grades till the end of June), and admissions said they need your final spring grades, nothing else counts. They also said that our counselors are aware that people end their spring semester a little late, so our admission decisions might be delayed as they need spring grades to make their final decision. It’s frustrating but we just have to wait and see what happens.
@ys1017 ^^^^^
@FlashyT couldn’t have said it any better
should we be expecting any waves coming any time soon or should I just stop going on this thread until the 31st??? lol
@CADREAMIN just stopping back in to let you know my daughter has SIR’d to UCLA after our visit there this past weekend for bruintransfer day. We had been there 2 years ago to look around on a tour of various schools. But looking at it seriously knowing you are admitted definitely had a different vibe ha. It’s a haul down to LA from where we live. Davis is only an hour south of us and would have been easier to get to but just too close to home for her. She’s happy and excited to be part of the Bruin class of 2021. ? As for me I’m glad the transfer process is over finally. Have a lovely summer!
@sugarcane1 Congrats to your daughter!! I had so much fun at Bruin Day and my overnight program there. They really do a great job at making transfers feel welcomed and the transfer community at UCLA is really tight-knit. I am sure she will love her time there!
@ttpbaby23 tbh I feel like they’ll have to start putting decisions out sooner than later but like im not believing it until i get an email that my portal’s been updated haha
Is anyone else having trouble accessing their FAST application?
@vegastransfer thank you and glad to know they are super welcoming to the transfers?. We felt that way after our visit for sure.
@minusthebear yea FAST is down for me as well
@minusthebear yea
my fast is down for me too!
does this mean that decisions may be coming soon? i think someone mentioned that his/her fast portal when down before he/she received a decision.
FAST is down for me too, says cannot find USCID for SlateID
I am not entirely sure if FAST being down is an indicator of anything. I have already been admitted and I am getting the same error message when I try to access FAST through the applicant portal. I can still access it through myUSC though.
My FAST is also down. Considering others that have been accepted already are experiencing this too I am not expecting it to correlate with decisions. Although it would be fantastic to hear something soon ?
Mine is down too. I also have a package at the post office waiting for me. I can’t sign up for informed delivery at my post office so, not sure who it’s from
