2019-2020 USC Transfer

I was rejected from every single school I applied to the first year I tried to transfer. I didn’t really have any safeties other than CSULB. They rejected my appeal and my attempt to transfer in for the spring semester. When I tried to transfer again, I cast my net a bit wider. This time I got into all of the schools that had rejected me the year before. I really had my heart set on CSULB, but when they finally accepted me, I had acceptances from UCLA and USC in the mix, so I sort of fell out of love with CSULB after they rejected me so many times.

@transfer4maria Don’t know the types of people but there are 40 transfer scholarships and they’re released in early June.

@zettasyntax i’m in a very similar position to what you just described! i have csulb as my safety and now i’m just waiting on usc’s decision. i’m glad to hear things ultimately worked out for you. it’s definitely comforting to hear it from someone who’s been through it all already

I just can’t do this anymore, catch me out here when they actually release decisions. I can’t keep compulsively checking this or I’m going to have w breakdown

I know the wait is hard (this is an understatement), but we’ll all end up where we’re meant to be! Whether that be at USC, or another fine institution. I know it’s easier said than done. But hey, we made it this far already!

They have legit given out only SGRs and no decisions for 2 weeks. USC is really taking the piss on us lol

@bksyazd I agree with @woshua I want to see your planned schedule! If you’re a marshall applicant please share!

Another day, another nothing

ANGRYANGRYANGRYANGRY

Lol I seem hecka triggered. I’m just a bit tired of waiting thats all haha

did anyone else apply Dec 1? I’ve kept calm until my spring semester ended this week and now each day passes by the minute

40 scholarship for 1/4 tuition, so $14,314 per year. COA is $77,459 for 2019-2020.

Another day of nothing… Does that mean tomorrow is the daayyyy??

@Aprilli If we’re basing it off past experiences. Then no lol

May 17 last year there were a wave of decisions. I know this year is completely different but there is hope

hoping we get some decisions today!!

Im currently a freshman at my local cc. I had a 4.0 my first semester and I’m so scared that I will get rejected if they send a SGR because my grades are going to be so bad this semester lol. Has anyone heard anything yet about SGR? I applied for marshall, but I don’t think I want to major in business anymore and was leaning more toward annenberg. Is there any way USC will just accept you into the school but not into your major (like marshall)?

OMG lol! Sorry if rude, and seriously, it is great you are joining in the party, but I know the regulars understand that comment as their agony continues daily.

I suggest you read through the last 100 pages or so. Seriously, it will take like 15 minutes and you will learn a lot.

@zoemarie It seems like more people have been getting SGRs than anything else lately. It’s certainly possible for sophomore applicants to get a straight out decision, but this is usually when they’ve completed important classes like their writing and math requirement in the fall. Sometimes USC just needs more information than a single semester’s worth of grades, but it certainly happens

Hmm, I can’t say I’ve ever heard of that happening. I’ve heard of several cases where people are admitted as Undecided (Dornsife), but not really admitted to other schools without a particular major. Maybe it’s happened.

I’m a TTP that just sent in Spring Grades yesterday so maybe they are waiting for us other applicants as well to make final decisions. Good luck everyone.

Y’all, I had a dream last night that we got decisions at, like, 6 a.m. I never remember my dream either so that tells you how stressed I am. Really, really hoping for some decisions today.

@FemmeFilmFatale yo I had the exact same dream! It felt so real and I got super stressed out in the morning.
