@whostolemycookie Hang in there. All of us here from Annenberg haven’t heard a peep either. I wouldn’t say you’re out of the running yet, even if you are a Marshall applicant and there has been a wave. From the way things are playing out this year and the timing, nobody is out until they physically see a rejection letter imo. You got this!
Okay, here’s a question probably for @CADREAMIN or @zettasyntax :
So I’m an Annenberg applicant, but my second major is in Dornsife. If for some reason I don’t get into Annenberg but get into my second major, Dornsife, would that come out around the Annenberg acceptance times, or after/randomly you think?
Or I guess a question for anyone who may know the answer. No big deal, just kind of curious since Dornsife has been having a big wave too
I’m nervous now since I didnt get in yet as a marshall applicant
Congrats all that got some news today - shout out to @CookieMnstr and welcome to the Trojan Family! This seems to be the second part of Marshall and Dornsife that in the past rolled out more like individual acceptances during the first 3 weeks in May just after the first wave. So they are taking their sweet time and doing another burst. Interesting.
No Annenberg or SCA or Viterbi yet. Ugh to you guys. Those have always come out on the 16th pretty consistently over last several years. So are they a week behind or will they play catch up this week? Let’s hope for catch up. Rejections have happened on the 24th last several years. If they stick with that then there would be many decisions rolling out all this week. If they push rejections till the 31st, well, let’s just hope they don’t. No one should feel rejected at this point in any major. There will still be more Dornsife and Marshall - more likely individuals here and there before rejections. @FemmeFilmFatale and @transferusc88 hang in there - your time will come!
in for narrative studies. upset bc i wad rejected from sca
@okurrr sorry about second choice but congrats on getting in nonetheless!
@transferusc88 I think @okurrr just answered your question
Always love hearing from you @CADREAMIN thank you for the support. Hoping to hear soon!
@transferusc88 Yeah, that’s a toughie. It’s late enough where most schools pretty much release their decisions though.
I was very crazy the first year I applied and put undecided/Dornsife (first choice) and computer science/games (second choice). I got my SGR on April 23rd, which would be a little “early” for Viterbi, but @CADREAMIN stated that I was likely never considered for Viterbi in the first place since I made it my second choice, haha. Anyway, good luck
I really loved the Annenberg building. I always wanted to go in, but was too shy to check it out. Fingers crossed.
@okurrr Sorry you didn’t get in for SCA. It’s really difficult. During my transfer orientation, I remember there only being like 2 SCA kids there. It was insane. Maybe I just picked an unpopular orientation. Maybe it was because I was a spring admit. Who knows?
@okurrr aw man! I’m so sorry! ? Congratulations on getting in though!
@zettasyntax When I attended a transfer day event, a SCA Admission’s officer said they only accept 3% of their applicants. It’s super hard to get into.
I really hope i get into usc marshall
accepted - dornsife. Fight on!!
@Ridinggravytrain When did you find out? By E-mail?
Accepted!! I’ll have to go look at it though because I’m really skeptical about the location.
@CADREAMIN THANK YOU so much for all your help to everyone on this forum
Congrats! @lookingxaround
You have nothing to worry about. That whole area is being gentrified as we speak. Do you mind me asking how you found out that you got accepted? I mean did they send you an e-mail notification? Or did you simply refresh your USC portal? And what program are you going in for? Thanks so much!
Hello Everyone,
I have been reading this thread since the start of the decision period - from May 1st.
Since everyone is posting and because it was helpful for me, I thought I should post too and also I had a couple of questions.
I got accepted to USC - Marshall School of Business as a transfer going into sophomore year. I did CC for one year and then am planning on transfer to USC. I am still waiting to hear back from Cornell, so I can make my final decision after I head back from them - however, they may send me the decision after the USC Reply date of June 1st.
The question I had was that I am not an American Citizen yet, so I do not get any financial aid, which means no aid from FAFSA or from USC either. I know USC has the quarter scholarship for transfer students, so how can I check if I did get it? The cost is about 70K a year and that times three years equals a lot of debt! Is there any other scholarship you guys know of that can help me finance my education. I can list some of my stats below:
I graduated high school as a sophomore, when I was 15 years old. Right now I am 16 years old in my first year (second semester) of college at a CC. I run an investing firm which trades in stocks, forex, and cryptocurrency. Also did a moderately - large project for the rivers of India. Was JV Captain in freshman year of HS for tennis and Varsity the next year. Started two clubs. Speak 4.5 languages. I have created and managed a project for starting a large Ethereum mining operation in Washington State.
ACCEPTED
College Transferring From/Type:CC
Entering As: Sophomore
GPA: 4.00 (expecting 4.00 second semester; possibly one B in a lab class)
Units Completed/Degree: 15
Units in Progress: 18
Letters of Recommendation: 2, I believe they both were strong - one was by my HS Principal and the other was by one of my investors.
Essays: They were definitely different than the norm. Pretty much all I can say. All of my cousins and friends hired college counselors to help them (paid 3-4k) and they did not get into UCB, UCLA, USC, or any Ivies.
I am a bit surprised that the admissions team based their decision on the information they had. I had two years of data from high school (freshman and sophomore year) and one semester of grades from CC. They did not send me SGR (Spring Grades Request), but had the contingency of a 3.30 GPA this semester. Is this normal?
Hi everyone! I sent in my Spring Grades yesterday (I got an SGR in late April). Does anyone know when I can expect to hear back? I am a TTP applicant planning to go in as a Sophomore. My school uses this online transcript service so it was sent as an official pdf and says it was received by USC today but the “SGR request” thing on my portal has disappeared.
Can those who got accepted post their stats? That’d be great!
Hey guys I don’t really want to complete my FASt since its asking so many questions and seems like a waste of time if I don’t get accepted but do you guys think it is critical in any way of it basing my decisions since I did not submit it>?
