Hey everyone. Long time browser, but never posted nor bothered to create an account. However, wanted to give an update for anyone else applying to Viterbi. I am a junior applicant from a Cali public uni on the quarter system. I received an SGR on April 4th. Besides that, it has been silent.

@NavyGuy2019 I am also a Price applicant. When I talked to admission, they said that the 3% is not a reflection of the acceptance rate but just the low amount of people who apply to Price in the first place. They wouldn’t give me the acceptance rate though lol

Does usc have a deadline to submit official transcripts?
@FemmeFilmFatale The admissions office told me that the deposit will be due for us two weeks from whenever we hear back if we didn’t hear by last Friday. I called and asked haha so if we hear back tomorrow, we will have until June 5 to place our deposit 
@HeyItsNick thats some good information to know. What major are you going for? I’m going for R.E.D. I hope you make it. With this wait, we all deserve to.

hey, admitted transfers! do any of you know how to appeal the aid the financial aid office gave us?
@woshua I’ll be going to UCSB if I don’t get into USC. I have been accepted there and a few others, but UCSB is my second choice behind USC.

I emailed my regional counselor my unofficial mid-term grades about a month ago and he has not answered or put it in my application. My semester ends this week but grades might not get posted for a bit so should I manually upload them into the portal still even if they were from last month? (I still have the same grades and I am a SGR).
The Facebook Admitted Transfer Group page still has not accepted me and it’s been a week

@Scotttt How did you send a mid report of your grades. Did you just take a picture of your grade from your schools gradebook and then sent that in? I also have a SGR and I wanna send something so I can get a decision ASAP as well.
@GotYa55 There is actually a Midterm Report form on Common Application that you can send to USC if you wish. I would advise against if it your semester is ending soon. Also, since the Midterm Report will be considered “unofficial” they might just wait until you send an actual electronic copy of your transcript or upload a screenshot of it onto the portal.
