I hate the inconsistency of the entire process most like we never actually know when decisions will come out. They’ve come out at 5pm exactly, but also near 5:45pm and on both Wednesday and Friday. They leave you guessing and that sucks haha

I just looked at the USC Accepted/Stats thread and they were coming anywhere from 5:15 to 5:56, lol. Just keep checking, guys.
Today is the day if this year’s pattern works (Wednesday and Friday for acceptances). Let’s come back at 6pm and see if it’s true.

Okay, so I just took a better look at the results/decisions thread and most, if not all, were alerted by email anytime from 5:50-6 p.m. PST. That looks like the sweet spot. Glad to know I can just obsessively check my email instead of the portal though, lol.
@Rosekk Yeah, I could def see that happening. I just don’t get what’s keeping them from releasing them sooner than later? Why was there such a lapse between the two Dornsife and Marshall waves? Why is there a lapse now? I wish we could get answers, lol.
@FemmeFilmFatale The worst thing is that USC usually releases rejections on May 24th, so we will be even more anxious if we still cannot hear anything today.
USC should seriously consider expedite the decision process. However, they promise the June 1st deadline so they can take their time.
I am just a little confused about the rolling admission process, as if it’s really based on “rolling” so many applications are still under reviewed and that’s why we haven’t heard back.
@FemmeFilmFatale Or maybe if it’s based on selection? I am guessing:
If you are highly qualified, they will accept you and release the acceptance in the first wave.
But if you are close, they will put you application aside and look at it later? If they find you convincing later, they will accept you for Fall or Spring.
If they are set on rejecting you, they will put you to the rejection pool.
This seems logical because if it’s really based on “rolling” and many applications have not been read yet then it doesn’t make sense because what takes USC so long? It’s only transfer admission now and I would understand more if they are reviewing transfer with the regular freshman at the same time now.
@sagaciousforever I think that there’s a good chance everything could come the final week. It is really going to suck if we have to wait that long. I think decisions have been made but something is keeping them from releasing. Just not sure what. Their scheduling tradition is basically non-existent this year so, say one SCA kid is being double-checked for something. Why keep everyone else from knowing their decisions? Can’t wait till it’s over.

If they’re giving people SGR and WGR, doesn’t that mean they’ve looked at your application? I feel they’ve had to go through them at this point.
@FemmeFilmFatale I doubt they looked at applications that need SGRs/WGRS as closely as they would if they were to make a firm decision on them. I feel like the SGR is also a way to buy some time
For me, I didn’t get any SGR/WGR, so this might mean I am about to get a rejection/spring admission, as far as I understand.
