So if we haven’t received a SGR from Marshall it’s best to assume rejected?
I’m starting to think we won’t hear back today. It’s crazy how slow the roll out has been this year.
@kcasssuu @uscstressed No, not getting an SGR/WGR does not mean a rejection. I didn’t get one and was still accepted on Friday.
what happens to Viterbi?
@kcasssuu @uscstressed The way I understood is that
No SGR/WGR = Acceptance or Rejection by the 31st
SGR/WGR = Spring admit/fall admit/rejection whenever they let you know
@hkiiim We don’t know. Still waiting for every school besides Dornsife and Marshall, unfortunately. ?
@FemmeFilmFatale I wonder if SCA has anything to do with scholarships. Like what if a student wasn’t going to be accepted but submitted a scholarship essay that peaked the interest of those in charge of allocating them and extended the acceptance lobbying process? That’s a fun theory ?
@FemmeFilmFatale You are mostly correct. However, below is right.
No SGR/WGR = Acceptance or Rejection by the 31st (most likely); June or early July (very rare).
SGR/WGR = Fall/Spring/Rejection=Fall/Spring may hear back in June or even early July. An SGR can significantly delay the process.
Last year, I have a friend who heard back in early July (Spring admit) but he never received an SGR, so it depends. I think most likely everyone who didn’t get an SGR will hear back by May 31st.
But keep in mind that it is possible to get an SGR on the May 31st.
Also, I submitted my spring grades at the end of April (I did not get an SGR) , but I still heard nothing up to this point. Technically, I should hear an acceptance or rejection by May 31st but you never know because of my friend’s rare circumstance.
@FemmeFilmFatale These gaps seem oddly familiar… like when I procrastinate and put off finishing my papers lol.
I wish USC would just set a date to release all of their decisions at once like the a lot of the UCs. I would not be surprised if the sgr/wgr requests are just a stall tactic
@Rosekk haha I’m thinking the same thing
@transferme73 I don’t think so. Last year, decisions came out the week of the 16th and then scholarships came out early June. I don’t think the two really effect each other but, I could be wrong.
@sagaciousforever Thanks for the correction! That’s horrible your friend had to wait so long. I’m calling if I don’t receive anything the 31st/1st, lol.
@Rosekk I’d be so mad if all the rest of us got hit with an SGR on the 31st, lol. That’d be so mean.
I submitted my spring grades at the end of April (I did not get an SGR) , but I still hear nothing up to this point. Technically, I should hear an acceptance or rejection by May 31st but you never know because of my friend’s rare circumstance.
There is probably not gonna be any decision today and tomorrow is May 24th, a possible rejection wave.
still nothing
Was fast ever down today? Some of the documents required from my checklist disappeared
@FemmeFilmFatale My Spring semester ended at the end of April, so I uploaded my spring grades to the portal even though I did not get an SGR.
Earlier this month, I notified USC admission office of my spring grades update and they acknowledged it. I thought this will significantly expedite my decision process but I am still here waiting.
Nothing as well. Let’s just hope for Friday.
nothing
Well, maybe tomorrow! Hopefully…
Maybe Friday
