@Jasonnnn What’s your major?
Math and Computer science. I applied to both engineering and art&science school.
@FemmeFilmFatale Whoops.*STARS “The STudent Academic Record System report (STARS) reflects students’ academic progress toward completion of their degrees for their declared majors. This report contains all USC course work and accepted transfer work that applies to degree requirements.” You should be able to see it on myUSC or OASIS. It might take a couple days because I wasn’t able to see it until yesterday afternoon.
@mrchicken1999 I haven’t gotten my package yet.
@mase31 Does the passcode eventually get emailed to you? That’s what I’m trying to get into now, lol. Thank you!
@FemmeFilmFatale Mhm! It’ll just take a few days or so.
And again congratulations!
@mase31 Hmm, I wonder if they’re still working on some things. From my understanding, that TCR stuff is manually done by a small group of people, so maybe they haven’t finished working on yours? But yeah, emailing your academic advisor is a good plan
They can sometimes override things and make substitutions. For instance, one of the classes required of my major hadn’t been taught in like 4 years, so my advisor was able to substitute another CS course in its place.
@zettasyntax Ooh wow…props to that group of people. I’m really hoping that I don’t have to take another science course LOL RIP my advisor got back to me and said a lab is required for both. I’m trying to figure this out quickly so I can get this sorted out before the semester starts AHhhh
@poolsideconvo78 I love your username. That’s my favorite song off the album. Ah, well I’m crossing my fingers for both of us! I know Psych is hard to get into…
Is it likely that decisions will come out today since some were also released yesterday?
@Rosekk From previous year trends, today seems like the day where a wave of rejections is released. I pray to God that is not the case this year, for all of our sakes
@goldeneagle220 I noticed the same thing. I submitted my spring grades on Monday but now it’s disappeared completely from my portal. Not sure why it did that
@mapofthesoul Maybe it disappearing is an indicator that they’ve received it?
@mapofthesoul So i emailed my counselor and I asked him what it meant by having the SGR to disappear and he said that it is not an indicator that the admissions have recevied the spring grades, but simply has been taken down by the counselor (whoever your counselor is) in order to change the SGR to being completed and then forwarding the application for Final Review.
If I get rejected TODAY, of all days… I will seriously croak. I mean I won’t but I really need some good news.
I don’t know what to expect… if I get rejected I have no idea why…
i was wondering if me finally going back to school after approximately 5 years and applying at 24 had any negative impact on my application.
additionally, I got an SGR for dornsife as I am applying as an incoming sophomore. I got one B for Fall, but for Spring, I might get 2-3 Bs. should i consider myself rejected and withdraw?
@whatsup1995 I wouldn’t if I were you! To be totally honest there is still a chance that you might get in, don’t squander an opportunity that many of us would love to have. What you can do however, would be to write a small word doc on why you might get 2-3 B’s in spring and upload it to your portal; or at least that’s what I would do anyways
Hope we can get something over the next two hours.
@MrBaguette my only reason is that i took roughly 24 units this spring semester. i regret it all.
