I would anticipate another wave and that wave being the last piece of rejections and acceptances.
My assumption is they go through all the applications little by little. Just being it’s towards the end doesn’t mean it something bad. It’s just a limited access program so they’re just trying to choose properly as well as they had a scandal so they’re more petite about the select.

The next wave would either be today tomorrow or Friday. On rare cases you may receive it next week but I would expect something today tomorrow or Friday in the late afternoon to night
Just don’t think you need to have the strongest connections and stuff of the sort to get in. You just need to be creative enough to stand out. I’m apply for SCA film and television. I’m literally interning at Sony Picture classics right now and I have a famous baseball player as a letter of recommendation because I’ve done videos for him but doesn’t mean I’ll get in.

At the end of the day though, my essays and visual sample are what’s going to matter.
I do feel that some of us will still get accepted, but just not that likely at this point.
@FlashyT too Asian? Lol first of all why is that a bad thing? And I guess too much diversity has also always been a bad thing right? UCLA may not be the place for you, and that’s fine, but have more valid reasons as to why you polarize an entire university that isn’t based on race.
People should stop seeing others as a “RACE” but human beings. We are all humans after all, and what really matters is our qualities as a person and attitude towards society.

Hi guys, I just called USC and they said that the day that they make a decision, on that same day at around 5 pm they release it. One of the admission counselors I spoke to called it “Live admissions”.
Just wanted to clarify for those who think their decision has already been made and they just haven’t released it yet. This isn’t the uc’s lol
The same day they made acceptance decisions I think… They probably hold all rejections and release it on the same day?

Also when I emailed my counselor he made it sound like my decision was in past tense.
I’m just ready to know my decision at this point sheesh. I might have to throw hands with the admission office

@rongday Not sure about that as I haven’t asked him that specifically. You’ve got a solid point, given the fact that we haven’t seen anyone post their rejections on this forum yet.
But that would contradict his statement that ALL decisions are made and released on the same day, whether that be an Acceptance, Rejection, or Spring Grade Request. Right now I’m just listening to what the admission counselor said, we’ve got only two more days anyway till the deadline. We’ve waited for so long, we can wait a little bit longer 
@Irigrotcart Our conversation wasn’t exactly a detailed and lengthy one. I just asked him one question and he gave me a simple answer. If you’d like you can call the admission office and ask this yourself.
I feel like they are really rushing to make a decision for all applicants by the deadline, this thought is invoked due to the fact that 2 admission officers were fired this year because of the scandal if I’m correct. Because of this unexpected circumstance, they cannot be as orderly as in previous years and have to “scramble” to get all of the decisions released by the 31st. People who have been admitted on the 24th and possibly earlier haven’t even received their admission packet yet, whereas previous years it was generally reported that people did get their admission packets within a few days after receiving their acceptance on the student portal if not before.
After getting accepted, how long does it take for the Admission package to come in the mail?
Do you guys think is a good idea to keep in touch with our admissions counselor or is it better to not bother them and let them do their job? I feel like if they’re too busy they might not want to be bother…

Receive a winter grade request in April. Nothing ever since… Fingers crossed.
Ps. Read last year’s thread and Viterbi applicants were literally getting accepted mid July. USC please dont do us like that…
