2019-2020 USC Transfer

Whats ur stats @CSE111

thx

@Waiiiiiiiting No. I didn’t receive an SGR. I guess since I am a rising junior an SGR was not necessary.

Oh okay, that makes sense, yeah USC is quite unique.

Annnenberg was my first choice Dornsife was my second and I just got accepted to Dornsife…Not upset at all i’m taking it as a sign! 3.95 gpa OOS. So happy AHHHH. FIGHT ON

@rozhinging I didn’t lol.
I just started here in the summer
I applied to georgia tech starting in summer and starting in fall. Got in starting summer but not starting fall.
When I got my starting fall rejection I thought oh s*** I should probably start here now.

I think the time you hear back in May has nothing to deal with how good/qualified/fit you are.

It may simply because USC takes its time to release decisions. There are too many transfer applications that they have to read so they may not finish reviewing (probably started) our applications yet.

I am expecting another wave of acceptance tomorrow and Friday might be the time when most rejections will be placed.

@ily8853 May I ask you what time you got accepted?

@Trashception Did you SIR to Berkley? If remember correctly, you got into UCB right?

Just SIR and see what happens with USC!

@sagaciousforever Hopefully…

@sagaciousforever yeah I SIRd to Cal, but I spent like $80 of my hard earned money to apply, so I want that darn acceptance package.

If you have not heard back from Viterbi, should one assume they are rejected? Not trying to be rude or pessimistic; however, it is already the 29th, and it appears many have already heard back with either a SGR or a solid acceptance. I can only assume rejection letters will be the next decisions released. Again, not trying to complain or whine, but it’s already the 29th which leaves the 30th and 31st for decisions.

But it also seems like USC is going to release all the rejections at once, so maybe all on Friday for those who haven’t received an SGR?

For those of you who got SGRs, you will most likely find out in June or July.

For everyone’s reference:
My decision time today: 5:32 P.M. PDT
GPA at Admission following Fall 2018 semester: 4.00 Across 59 graded credit hours
Current GPA following Spring 2019 semester: 3.96 across 81 graded credit hours (3.86 GPA in Spring 2019 across 22 graded credit hours) + 2 grades of withdrawal from Spring 2019
Opinion on essays: Very strong, my great aunt who helped me revise them is a textbook author.

No sgr, nothing.

@CallieB43 Agree with you

@CallieB43 There will probably still only be acceptances tomorrow. But Friday there will probably be a big wave of rejections and still some acceptances for sure.

No one is out yet.

USC finally gave me my financial aid summary and I am quite happy with it. How hard would it be to get loans if my parents credit is very poor?

Hey @JCMaxwell congratulations! What is your major?
