Annenberg? Dornsife?
Do you guys know when will housing assignment come out?
Also, I applied for housing at the end of April but I have not heard anything at that time. Just got in today so I am wondering will USC still count me as “applied for housing in April”?
Rejected from Marshall. 3.7 Father is an Alumni. I feel relieved that I’m not stressing about it anymore but also bothered I didn’t get in. My biggest F*** up was that I got an email in high school for the Trojan Transfer Plan but I didn’t see it until two years later when applying as a transfer. I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Maybe I’ll end up there for grad school who knows. Congrats to all the admits.
No you will not count for housing until after admitted. You filled out the app, but it isn’t really submitted from a time stamp perspective.
Everyone who has received a decision so far, rejection or acceptance, it would really help out future applicants if you could enter your stats on this thread:
@AFutureStudent Will do it today if not tomorrow!
Anyone else still waiting? The thread is moving a lot slower now.
I saw this in the letter:
“I presume that when you applied, you intended to begin your studies here this fall, so please read on and let me explain this opportunity. Spring admission is USC’s way of managing the size of the entering class. Some institutions do this by asking students to remain an uncertain, wait-list status; we instead offer select students the opportunity to begin their USC studies in January – just one fifteen-week semester later –when we can typically accommodate more students. After the May 1 National Candidates Reply Date, if we find we have room in the fall class, we may invite some students who accepted the spring offer to enroll in the fall class.”
I think this is meant to be for incoming freshman? Today is the end of May.
I’m waiting! What are you waiting for @ncityusc
@Zoe528 SCA, CAMS major, what about you?
Yes, that was for regular admits. They apparently just use one letter.
@CADREAMIN So is there no chance for Fall at all or maybe USC will inform me at some point in June or July?
Transfers who got admitted earlier in May may still decline the offer though.
@ncityusc I’m a TTP applicant waiting for Dornsife’s American Studies.
@sagaciousforever It’s pretty rare for transfers. It’s way more likely to happen if you’re a freshmen admit (getting bumped to the fall).
@Zoe528 Good luck. Hopefully we will both hear some good news soon.
@sagaciousforever I assumed that they sent out the same letter as they did for freshman when you posted the entire body of the letter. It mentioned how about 90% of 66,000 students were rejected. Those were the same stats they released regarding freshman acceptance rates.
I wonder if the transfer acceptance rate was also cut big time this year? I am curious to see the numbers when they are released.
same. @ncityusc.
@CADREAMIN. Have you ever seen anything like this in terms of USC being this crazy with notifying?
@vegastransfer True! Last year was 24 percent. I am guessing this year will be around 20 percent.
@Zoe528 I was Dornslife, did not put that in my thing, my apologies everyone.
