did anyone get an email?
SCA rejected. Veteran 3.9 gpa. I want to appeal but have no idea what to say so I’m not just begging.
I didn’t get a decision at all  and I never had an sgr so I’m confused I’ll call tomorrow
Decisions are still coming in, don’t lose hope of hearing back today.
@zoe528 Sad to say this is how it always is, in actuality the scandal had no effect on it. The real difference is things were just a week or two later and there wasn’t a noticeable Viterbi drop which tended to happen around the 16th each year. Viterbi is always last, but not the last day like this year.
The big difference is they started the first wave a week late and sent out rejections a week later than usual. Frankly, it is always agonizing like this.
I’m not even sure how appeals would work with all the counselors vanishing. While there’s no formal process, I was told to just email a PDF to my admissions counselor and they forward it to an appeals committee. I guess you could send it to any admissions counselor or just somebody in admissions and they’d be able to do the same. I remember somebody that got in on appeal a couple years ago and we emailed back and forth about his first semester at 'SC. But yeah, appeals are a bit rare. If you look back at previous stats threads, there’s maybe 1-2 instances per year (if that). Definitely doesn’t hurt to try though if you have the time/desire to do so.
Guess I’ll have fun hiding from the stalker dude on my current campus next year thx USC for not helping me in this situation.
@zettasyntax Worth a shot, I think. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. I already got rejected, so nothing to lose.
Who is still waiting? and what major
Guess I’ll just focus on getting excellent grades at UC Davis and study like my life depends on it. I’ll also prep harder for the LSAT that I’ll be taking in January and I hope I get a great score.
Man, I’m going to bury my head in the library for hours now. I’ll also need to get a job next year and keep good relations with professors to get recommendations.
My next two years are probably going to be the hardest years in my entire life, I’ll have to dedicate myself entirely toward becoming a perfect student now. I will reapply to USC Gould and depending on how well my GPA and LSAT score is, maybe I’ll apply for the Ivies.
This is easier said than done, as UC Davis is also insanely competitive to have a great GPA in.
Thank you everyone for being with me on this journey, all of you were there for me in the beginning and have continued every step of the way. May you all have success on your academic and personal goals.
In two years, maybe I’ll come back here on College Confidential and tell you guys what happened in this other part of my journey and let you know which law school I’ll be attending!
Cheers…
@GoodAfternoonSir Wow I cried ? Good luck to you!
Nothing yet from SCA- son applied to production and CAMS, he would also be happy with undeclared, just wants to be at USC with hopes of a transfer to his preferred major. He submitted grades May14th, and portal reflected that they have them May 28th. Not really expecting a decision tonight, but always holding out hope for the best.?
@GoodAfternoonSir I know that you will do well at UC Davis! You seem to already have a well thought out path towards achieving your goals in the end and I am sure you will reach them. I will be stressing about the LSAT right alongside you lol. It’s been a crazy journey, but at least you still have a fantastic school to choose to go to. I wish you well at UC Davis and could potentially see you at USC Gould in a few years.
@Kahok17 Non TTP, rising sophomore applying for sociology. Got an SGR on May 1 but my cc isn’t releasing my spring grades till mid June…which sucks a$$
All dornsife waiting?
Is it safe to expect no more decisions tonight?
I’m wondering the same thing.
“All transfer applicants who submit a complete application by the February deadline will receive a request for spring grades or an admission decision by the end of May.”

soooo I mean we SHOULD hear back tonight but who knows lol
I’m not even nervous anymore, I feel numb lol. What sucks is that if we don’t hear back today I think we won’t be able to reach them until Monday.
