If you do the math from the above numbers it is 61.9% enrolling. Hopefully anyone applying can do that math.
Is USC generous with gift aid? Also, what orientation are y’all going to?
@vegastransfer I am not too sure about that, but I applied anyways.
For single, I may just rely on off-campus housing because it’s true that it is nearly impossible to get a single room for on-campus housing.
I don’t think you could do graduate housing though since it’s limited for graduate students only.
For those who are still waiting, USC is still working on the admission. I received emails from my counselor and the apartment staff requiring my official transcript and Spring grade asap so my decision will not be delayed…Too bad my CC is still using Snail Mail shipping method.
@blueskies2day Math is hard
Anyone get the 1 of the 40 transfer merit scholarships yet? Where did you check to see if you get it or not?
does anyone know when the next wave will be? im going on vacation soon, so i want to be prepared
@FutureHaasBear Two people have mentioned it. I remember one person was a Viterbi admit. It would be on your financial aid summary. If those two already got it, I assume they have all been awarded already. That kind of sucks for SGR people and stuff that haven’t even been admitted yet.
I would also assume they are out since there have been 2 or 3 posted here. Anyone getting an SGR wasn’t going to get one anyway with only 40, they go to people that are solid that they don’t need to see anything further.
@whatsup1995 i dont think admission even knows when the next wave is, hopefully its sometime this week, i sent my sgr in over a week ago and I still haven’t gotten anything back
@zettasyntax i know you’ve been in these threads for a while and I was wondering when sgr disappears from the portal is that generally a positive or negative sign? Because I see it happened to people last year as well.
Hey guys,
anyone know what percentage of financial aid appeals are successful?
how long does it take for the sgr to disappear? i sent mine yesterday
@Shwchlorine My admissions counselor told me that if your SGR disappeared from your portal, it’s just an indication that they received your Spring grades and is under final review. We should hear back within this month.
@candylover132 Been thinking about you a lot - did you call admissions and ask what the reason was? Makes no sense, you should get someone on the phone that can explain that to you - if you have unresponsive counselor/advisor, then call admissions and ask who else you can talk to. Seems like an error on their part.
Hey everyone, I was accepted as a junior transfer student into viterbi last year. Don’t be discouraged if you haven’t heard back from usc yet, it means you’re still being considered!
For anyone who’s been admitted, feel free to message me with any questions (housing, safety, school design teams, classes…). I’ll also be at all the orientations and would be happy to talk with you there!
I’ve you’re still waiting to hear back, feel free to message as well, but I’m not any more aware of their admittance process than anyone else on here.
Good luck to all of you!
IVE BEEN ACCEPTED FOR THE SPRINF SEMESTER. Super exited since I was rejected last year! However I am a junior transfer with a little over 60units and both of my majors I applied to was in the Annenberg school and I got accepted as “Open(undecided)” major. I was wondering how this is possible since I’m already halfway into my degree. Can anyone help me how easy it is or if it is possible to decide my major into my Annenberg majors and how I can do this???
@Uscfighton93 Congrats! I think we’ve been seeing a lot of Undecided this year. That’s a tricky one. Sometimes USC will admit students as Undecided if they really want you but your desired schools ran out of space or didn’t necessarily think you were right for the major. They could always offer spring admission if they ran out of space for the fall though. You’d very likely have to do an internal transfer to Annenberg. They have information sessions detailing what the process entails, but I can’t seem to find what exactly is required on their website. My guess (as with a lot of the other internal transfers), they’d just want you to have a strong (B average) GPA and whatever other specific requirements the school might have.
@whatsup1995 it took mine about 2 days, if your transcript is electronic and it tells you that it’s delivered, you should be good to go
How long does it take before you can log into the USC oasis portal? Every time I try and log in it says that this 10‑digit ID number and birthdate you submitted do not match our records.
