@TTPlease did u get accepted by mail or update on portal?
has anyone who got SGR heard back and got rejected? pls lmk asap
@purplediva2 My TCR did not even show all transfer credits from my colleges. So, I called Registrar office to verify my transfer credits, but they told me to wait until orientation for updated TCR although they already received all my transcripts.
Got SGR and I am sure I will be rejected , received a C in Calc 3 this semester brought my GPA down to 3.6
@viterbi2021 I’m in the same boat but for stats. Rooting for you.
Hi everyone! I am a TTP that was accepted back in early May for Business Admin. I have finished all of my pre-orientation work but it lists a math placement exam. Do I need to do this going in as a sophomore who has already taken business calculus and received an A? If I do bad on the placement test will I need to take business calculus again?
Answers to above questions I’ve read -

It took about 2-3 days for me to be able to join the accepted transfer facebook group after I submitted my commitment deposit.

I applied for on-campus housing the next day (early May) and I still haven’t heard back so I am now living off-campus and have heard that there is VERY limited housing so if you are worried I’d start looking at Lorenzo/Gateway.

When you send in an SGR and they’ve received it, it will disappear on your portal and this is normal. I heard back about a week and a half after this happened on mine.

You can send in your AP scores at any time and your transfer credit report will update (I believe I read it updates once a day on business days). If you’re curious about what courses transfer look up articulation agreements between your university/cc and USC. They are available with a quick search on google.
@transferusc88 … thanks and hoping for you as well… please let me know your outcome and I’ll let you know mine … hopefully we’ll both be walking by each other this fall on campus
MID JULY feels like forever away! I just called and they said all transfer decisions will be made by then. Still waiting as well!
Hey guys, i just sent in my SGR today and my USC counselor replied me right away and said that my unofficial transcript is fine but he wants me to send in my final transcript as soon as possible. Does that mean anything? Did they ask everyone to send in their final transcript right after submitting their SGR or unofficial transcript?
@articchar885 I called them a week ago and they told me last week of June or first week of July.
@Trojan4u1001 They told me the same thing too.
Hey guys, I got a SGR a while ago and I’m on quarter system so my grades just finalized and I sent them to my counselor right away. I got a 3.7 for spring quarter (I’m taking a lot of classes though) and I’m kind of worried because I see a lot of people with 4.0s. I was pretty surprised they actually gave me the chance to send in my spring grades because I got C’s and B’s in chem and chem lab the two quarters before (otherwise I had all A’s). I’m guessing it’s because I go to a mid-top tier UC. Has anyone read anything about SGR’s being rejected before? I read somewhere that about 70% of SGR’s get in but I don’t remember where I read it and if there’s backing behind it.
@brookeiu I wish I could give you an answer but I’m not sure about how many SGRs get in either. What I do know is that they are holistic, so just because you don’t have a 4.0 doesn’t mean you’re gonna get rejected. They take into consideration the school you’re at and what grades you received. So if you’re at a top UC with a 3.7, but someone else from a different school that may not be at the same as you got a 4.0, doesn’t mean you won’t get in. They review every application differently, and all I can say for now is that if you did your best, just try to relax and whatever happens, happens. They will also see how many classes you took and take that into consideration. I hope this helps a little. Hoping you hear great news soon!
@Trojan4u1001 everyone is the same on that brother.
This is crazy how many people are on here. I’m a ‘former’ usc student that is trying to leave usc. got a merit scholarship a few years ago but been on an extended LOA (basically no longer a usc student). the school just wasn’t the right fit for me and didnt like my major program. tried to transfer this year but didnt get in anywhere:( someone can take my spot at usc in exchange for a spot at one of the better UCs hahah.
going here was honestly the worst decision of my life. messed up my life and i cant even transfer anywhere now.
@ucberkeley2019 Sorry to hear!! And you can transfer, just not “anywhere”, so keep your head up, everybody’s journey is different!! What UCs did you apply to for transfer?
@90smix i applied to UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD (I was admitted to all these places in high school)
@ucberkeley2019 I am very sorry! 95% of UC transfers are from CCCs, so that’s probably a major factor
@usctransfer88 did u get into USC?
@90smix - no news, no word, no nothing yet?
@usctransfer88 I am still checking every day waiting for your good news!
