2019-2020 USC Transfer

@GotYa55 which one did you use??? I have the same counselor as you.

Do spring admits generally hear back earlier than fall admits?

@fuhnancy I pm’d you

@brookeiu
the “Spring Grade Request” also disappeared in my application checklist.

Look at thread #7344 for more details

Also, my fast portal under "Application in Review" has the same statement. I didn't notice that it changed, though.

I would call USC just in case to make sure that the school received your transcript for SGR.

so we should expect results by next week? The holiday this week would most likely postpone decisions being released

@poolsideconvo78 Someone said earlier in the thread that they tend to post the last remaining decisions between July 8-10. So I’m assuming you’ll most likely get a decision by next week.

I just received my Financial Aid and it was shockingly very low. Could anyone share how your appeal went? Thank you.

@IsCollegeWorthIt I remembered it being different and I checked earlier threads and the last sentence used to read something like “released in late May”. I think the change is just to reflect the time though.

This wait really is agonizing. There shouldn’t be too much longer though, as my admissions counselor said that all decisions should be released by the end of next week.

Also, it seems like from past threads that people who have been waiting into July have generally fared well and been accepted, for the most part. Does anyone know if that’s true?

@seahawksjoe I don’t think that’s true. While it may seem that people who wait until July have high acceptances, this is only because they are happy to post about it. Those who are denied probably no longer have any incentive to participate in online forums therefore, do not mention their rejection. As a result, this makes it seem like there are high july acceptances.

Are there any TTP that has not heard back after submitting their SGR or am I the only one who’s still waiting? Anyone from PCC (Pasadena City College) who sent in their SGR got a decision already or is all PCC students still waiting because our semester didn’t end until Mid-June. I submitted my SGR on June 21 because I had to wait for all my professors to submit in my final grades. The wait is literally killing me. Idk why a TTP like me has to wait this long for an admission decision. Is this even normal?

Maybe not normal per se, but it has happened. Some TTPers even hear back along with the regular admits at end of March - but most hear in April, some more in May, then there are some (but very few) that wait and wait. I know it’s brutal. Part of it is obviously your late semester, but also because they even want to see those grades - so it could be school/major dependent too, or based on your earlier gpa. The TTPs that are accepted after only posting their fall quarter grades or fall semester grades in December tend to be the kids that posted 4.0-4.5 kids in high school with high SAT/ACT scores that were rejected for no other reason than they ran out of room. Sometimes SGR is just a stall tactic, sometimes they really need more data to decide.

You will know next week for sure, it all wraps up then.

Hey everyone, if you want a room in The Lorenzo, just PM me. I will be glad to transfer my lease to you.

@Novelica Is yours a single room or double room? I got into Spring 2020 so will deal with the housing mess later this year. I applied to on-campus though but I haven’t heard back yet.

This is it. This is the last week for everybody. We dont have to wait any longer after this week. I wish everyone the best.

Hey! I’m also a PCC student. I got a decision on June 25th— I sent in my grades about a week prior. Sorry the wait is taking so long for you! I bet you’ll hear this week, fingers crossed! @Trojan4u1001

Hoping for the best this week

is anyone else still waiting for financial aid? i’ve been waiting 2 weeks!

I have a feeling they’re going to wait until the very last day. Best of luck to everyone this week.

ANYONE FROM A SOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE WHO IS STILL WAITING?
