Okay, nothing yet on my end.
@transferusc88 Same.
Anyone hear anything yet?
Not yet for me.
I’m having doubts that I’m going to get a decision today
Looks like we won’t be hearing anything today.
Ignore him, guys. Someone is just bitter. We got this! Hoping to hear some good news tomorrow for us all!
@transferusc88 Agreed! Everyone just ignore him. Moderators will take care of him. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
still nothing

@jorgetirebiter Just a heads up @trojansquadddd above looking for housing incase you are still pondering what to do …my guess is there will be others…
@trojansquadddd This is around the time Gateway fills up - mid July to late July - they may have rooms but just not being responsive or not that many rooms so don’t need to be responsive. If you get through they will be straight where they stand in terms of availability. If they say they have 5 left, they aren’t doing a hard/deceptive sale, they literally have 5 left. With their location, they don’t have to push rooms.
Makes sense @cadreamin. Do you think that’s the best off campus apartments? Or is there another community you’d recommend looking at too? Thanks for your help
Sorry to ask another question @cadreamin but do you know how the roommate situation works at Gateway? Also, it looks like I’m able to just book the apartment online if I leave a deposit…do you think I should see it first or just dive right in? Thanks
I am getting so anxious. I really hope there are more acceptances. This wait has been agonizing
@dudeguy123332 you literally are at the same CC as me, and you put out that kind of negative energy? That’s messed up.
I hate this wait guys. I got SGR on May 10 and sent my grades may 29 and it was received that day and my portal was updated. I have been waiting since with no answer… I called yesterday and a lady said I might have to wait another 2 weeks or maybe to July 19th. I don’t get it you guys are saying July 15th than the admission office saying different answers. Usc is one of the most unorganized schools I have seen with my own eyes now. It’s extremely frustrating cause I got admitted to such good schools. I don’t know how much longer I have to wait. I have had 6 semesters of a 4.0 and brought my gpa up from a 2.6 to a 3.84 overall with 20 A’s in a row. Like honestly just give us a answer it’s not like it’s a decision to give 100 million dollars to someone. There admissions officers are jokes also like honestly why do they have the right to choose our admission. We all deserve to get in whos been waiting this long…
@trojansquadddd I would try to talk to them tomorrow about the room mate situation, then you can always book it online. I wouldnt think 24 hours would make a difference yet. You really should be able to get a hold of them if you can call between 9:30-11:30am. They start later than regular offices and prob take a long lunch (it’s not Microsoft they are running over there). Mid morning usually best time. They usually try to help place you to some degree, but not sure if that service dwindles this late - I would ask what you can find out about the spaces available in terms of room mates. Maybe they could give your email to someone idk - just ask anything, they get it.
Gateway is a giant all student complex with decent services - workout room (not huge but ya only need one treadmill, ha), good/dependable mail/package service, they were attentive to any repair issue (if the person calling isn’t a jerk), - it is really a giant dorm set up with way nicer kitchens and without the rules a dorm has. Wading pool area looks cool, that was just finishing when mine was there. And it is just across the street from campus, almost on it - so totally safe. And - this is big - you only pay by the bed. So if a room mate bails you are not on the hook for the entire place like you are with privately owned or smaller house/apartment complexes. Their auto pay runs smooth, easy breezy, no late rent payments or nagging. So ya, it is a favorite of mine for anyone that doesn’t have a big group of friends to live with (which also needs a “captain” to take charge and coordinate everyone). The only complaint I heard from mine is it felt too much like a dorm - his friends got an 8 bedroom townhome as seniors, but that was after living at Gateway for 2 years. I liked knowing that even if mine (male or female) was out on campus late (say at Lyons Center), it was just a stroll across campus to get back, not a few blocks into the neighborhood at midnight or 2am. Peace of mind a good thing, specially for momma and poppa bears.
@Rickyandmorty Thank you. So my placement exam grade doesn’t matter right? Because I don’t want my placement exam grades to bother my course scheduling.
@blmcali99 Of course! and no it doesn’t, as long as they have it in file that you already took the required math courses at a CC or in high school, it won’t get in the way of your 1-4 year course plan.
