2019-2020 USC Transfer

First time poster, Long time lurker… just got a portal update and I am accepted Spring 2020 Dornsife! Transferring from SDSU

@whlapc Congrats!! 5-7 days it looks like.

I may not be accepting my decision however because I really want to switch my major from sociology to business admin so hopefully one of you guys will get my spot!

@transferusc88 Thank you. Hoping for the best for you and all the rest still waiting. Fingers crossed!

Hooray. I got in for compueter science vieterbi

rejected

Just got accepted for the Spring!

accepted for spring smd ya’ll

Nooooooooooooo @transferusc88! I can’t believe it. Too sad, soooo sorry, ugh.

Got into dornsife spring 2020. There’s no way to appeal for fall right? I have mixed feelings honestly

Can you say stats? And major please

Congrats to those that got in @GotYa55 @RyanLam @seahawksjoe @Trojan4u1001 @Steamedz and everyone that FINALLY got news.

I got a pm from a someone accepted as a fall Marshall admit. Whether spring fall is also determined by applicant/application, not just avail spots. Several people got into Marshall fall throughout June.

@Trojan4u1001 What is your major?

Can I appeal. I can’t believe j got rejected guys I proved everything with a upward trend and aced my last 6 semesters of school.

@dcz1998 for me I applied to biochem. 4.0 up to gen chem 2 and gen bio, couple AP scores, GE’s. My EC’s were okay.

@dcz1998 Sophomore transfer Dornsife. 4.0 gpa

@transferusc88 I’m so sorry to hear that! Are you planning on appealing? There have been some who were accepted after appealing during this application cycle.

@GotYa55 You can’t just transfer into Marshall, it is a process and you basically have to apply the first semester you attend and you don’t get in until a semester (or even two) after that. I don’t know that trying to get into Marshall as a transfer ever makes sense because it would definitely add time (and lots of money because of that time) to getting the degree. You should call and verify, but Marshall is not just a “change at orientation” kind of change, it’s a process with an application, pre-reqs and and essay.

How do you appeal?

@CADREAMIN Aw that sucks  I guess I might have to reapply next year then. I was checking some reddit forums and I heard transferring into marshal internally is difficult even if you have the gpa and pre reqs done.

It happens. I don’t think I’m going to appeal. This school wasted my time for months and I don’t want to put myself through it anymore. Congratulations to everyone that got in though! I’m very proud of all of you and you all deserve this. I wish all of you a bright and happy future and thanks for keeping me company on this thread for the time being. Best of luck to everyone!!
