Hey guys! I am new and this may sound dumb but what the hell are ttp applicants?
So if a high school applicant got rejected, sometimes they’re offered an opportunity to transfer using a TTP plan. They usually need a decent GPA and other requirements, if completed then their chance to get in increases.
Question: How does one check whether or not they have been accepted/rejected? Is there a particular website or simply on the Portal?
Is it common for applicants who got a WGR to also get a SGR?
did anyone get into annenberg? I got SGR
@Steamedz when I asked they gave me a generic answer. I had a 3.9 from a 4 year. I would guess it is because I did not have a couple pre reqs done such as my science with a lab and my essays were soooo bad.
Any chance we hear anything on a weekend?
@ktlady As long as I maintain a 4.0 GPA for my Spring Semester, do you think I have a good chance of being admitted given that I have finished all of my pre-requisites?
@Steamedz well there is a lot that goes into it. I’m assuming that if you are a rising junior you are currently taking a class or a few that they want to see grades for. Getting a 4.0 would obviously help you a lot and most likely make their decision for you much easier. But like it’s been stated all over these forums the whole process is wholistic. Just reading through for the past couple years I’ve seen people get admitted with like a 3.0 and I’ve seen people denied with a 4.0+ so there really is no way of knowing. Obviously not completing my gen eds was my pitfall so if I were you I would feel proud, send them your grades ASAP, and hope for the best
Hi people , I have a question. So I go to UCLA and I have a request for winter grades. I’m applying ti computer science major and I have 3.9 currently but I only have taken Calc 1,2,3 and physics series and some chem and ochem because I was originally a premed. I was taking linear algebra class in winter but I dropped it due to some reasons. Linear algebra is not a prereq for transferring but I’m guessing they requested winter grades because they want to look at that course. I’m a senior in UCLA and it’s not like I don’t have enough units to transfer. I’m planning to contact the USC counselor and tell them about my reasons to drop the class ( it wasn’t because I wan’t doing well in the class). Do you guys think I have lost my chance of getting admitted?
@rozhinging Why are you transferring when you’re a senior at ucla?
Because my major is premed and I want to switch to computer science and its too late to switch in ucla.
@rozhinging You should be fine and should have a high chance of getting in if USC doesn’t mind that you are a senior standing student.
Interestingly I see some people are transferring from UCLA to USC. UCLA is academically more prestigious than USC. I am from Pepperdine.
Best of luck!
Thank you ! Good luck to you too.
Quick question! Has anyone submitted a mid-year report without it being requested?
Does the housing portal work for anyone?
@sbequ19 my daughter submitted her Spring Grades without them asking last year, as a freshman, who was not a TTP, and was accepted mid July.
Where are the SCA peeps at??
@enigma1199 i’m a SCA applicant!
