2020-2021 USC Transfer

@bean01262020 I am technically a Junior transfer but I’ll be placed as a sophomore. I went to my community college and majored in CS for a year then switched to aerospace and astronautical engineering. So I’m roughly a year behind in my prereqs besides GE which would place me as a sophomore at USC and pretty much every other institution. I have 60 units after this semester so it just goes to show how SGR’s are not very predictable nor an indicator of admission.

Will our checklist disappear on our portal if our decision is coming soon?

@jaden29 last year when a decision came the portal changed to just being able to click on the link with your decision. I would expect the same thing this year. It was literally the only link on the page.

I received SGR today as well - Dornslife(English major)+School Cinematic Arts

I feel like everyone has gotten something or some response of some kind except me:/ I’ve gotten no SGR or anything and I applied to Dornsife

@oliviavallone hey was english your first choice major and your second choice was in the school of cinematic arts or are you planning on minoring?

@nyeoominheelys I’m in the same position as you! I applied to dornsife and haven’t gotten anything yet

@Nazarzzzz What major are you?

@nyeoominheelys Im Dornsife Econ and I haven’t gotten anything either :confused:

@subwooferlullaby Yup English was my first choice, and then I applied for Cinematic/Media Studies on the School of Cinema Application.

@anotherbun I only applied to two schools and got rejected from the other one, so I’m hoping pretty hard for USC. I’m also a junior transfer, I’ll have 80 units this semester and my GE’s are done so it’d be a bummer to have to do another year. I can get two AA’s in my major, Psych, and in English so I guess that’s something. If this doesn’t work out this cycle I’ll definitely be looking at more than two schools, haha.

@nyeoominheelys psych. hbu

@Nazarzzzz Bio

does the pre-emphasis you put on your application affect your decision or do they just look at your major? Like i put psych with a pre-pharmacy emphasis
