@“Prash Patil” Lmao same
I’ll be committing to UCSD next Friday if I don’t hear back. It sucks but I can’t keep waiting, I have to get on with my life.
Why not just wait until the 29th? The deadline day for UCSD is June 1 anyway
What do you guys think?
Junior Applicant to Marshall
GPA: 3.92
Credits: Applied with 41 and will finish this semester with 63 total
Took Pre-reqs like English and Calculus. (A’s in both)
Letter of rec: From Calculus teacher
Finished 7/8 GE’s
Strong essay
Weaknesses:
- The first in college semester was only a 10 unit semester because of W
- Currently taking Financial Accounting (Still need Managerial)
- Have not taken Econ
You have a very good shot.
Isn’t finishing managerial accounting and econ classes required if you’re transferring as a junior?
To the people who are committing to other schools will you withdrawal your apps?
Viterbi applicant- nothing at 6:02 pm. Guess it’s another week of waiting! Yay.
Dornsife Psych- nothing!
@bean01262020 I have to be out of my current place by May 26th and I need to move my family. My apartment building wont let me extend my lease. I just don’t have the option to wait. I’m trying to work something out for a month-to-month down in SD or stay with family up in NorCal so I can still get to USC if possible. However, it is more important to me that my family is safe/ with a roof over their head, than getting into USC. I’m hoping it works out and I can postpone my move until after June 1st. Just not sure how it’ll work out yet.
Edit: Also, it is sort of different for me because of the military. I don’t believe I need to pay a deposit. I could be wrong here (so if anyone has better knowledge on that, I’d love to know). Honestly, I just need to find a place for about a week or two and it should all be fine. It’s just really hard with this COVID stuff.
@millerman63 i think what a lot of them are doing is committing to other schools that have enrollment deadlines either before may 31 or on june 1 as a backup option to usc. they’d lose their enrollment deposit for the other school if they get into usc and choose to go, but they’ll definitely have somewhere to go in the fall either way. they’re just making sure that if they don’t get into usc, they have an option, so no, they probably aren’t withdrawing their usc apps. i hope that made sense haha
No, managerial accounting and economics are not required for Marshall. Although Econ and accounting courses are strongly recommended they are not required. He said he got an A in the two required classes and Econ and calculus both fall under the quantitative reasoning category so he already satisfied that requirement.
usc is increasing their tuition rates smh. hopefully financial aid rises as well
Whats the general consensus on receiving a SGR? - I haven’t received one or got a decision yet. Vertibi CS Applicant
@HopefulBruin569

Viterbi CS applicant checking in. Also haven’t heard anything since I submitted my app! Hopefully we get some response in some form soon.
I received a SGR today at 5 P.M EST (applying from east coast) for Viterbi Computer Science. I am currently a rising sophomore with 30 university credits completed and a 4.0 GPA. I love to discuss any questions etc. Good luck to everyone!
@gabsPL The financial aid package was available about a week after receiving acceptance. The only requirements to transfer are the math and English requirements.
Any SCA applicants hear back yet? Am I bound to be a ball of anxiety for at least another week?
At least if some people have I could safely assume I’m rejected ?
my friend is a viterbi applicant (chem e) & got a sgr
