Has there been any SCA decisions released yet?
Also, congrats to all those who got in!

@Dudu123456 nope
@Khalid55 Our backgrounds are very similar. I attended college 2010-2012 and I didn’t do great (2.2 gpa). I joined the Navy, took some classes and did well. Got out in 2018 and have been going to community, with a much higher gpa.
I was accepted into Marshall in April. I’m guessing maybe because your transfer credits are low that they requested the SGR. Especially if you were missing the English or math requirement for Marshall.
@hermit1214 hopefully they release decisions sometime this week
When do you guys think most of the decisions will start rolling out by for marshall.
@seabee91
Thanks for the response. I think I have over 60 credits from all the classes I have taken, but possibly like 12-15 just from SMC. I fulfilled the writing class at SMC but took calculus at another institution. My advisors at SMC told me that everything should transfer and that I fulfilled everything. Guess it’s just a matter of how they are going to compare everyone.
Hoping for the best??
Have any non-TTP Annenberg applicants receive a SGR or decision yet?
@Khalid55 What classes are you taking this spring, if you don’t mind me asking?
would it be worth posting my spring grades if they’re coming out around may 25-28? im fairly certain that they will raise my overall gpa but i haven’t gotten a sgr and decisions are supposed to come out may 31 :neutral:
@seabee91
According to my advisor the only class needed was a art class, Music history. I got a B. I asked if I could retake previous classes for a better grade but I was advised not to repeat. The art class was the last GE to fulfill for USC. We went over everything and I supposedly looked very competitive.
I am currently a first year at LMU in LA and I applied to transfer to Marshall at USC. My first semester I took 16 units and got a 3.93 gpa. Spring semester I am taking 17 units and should have around the same gpa. I have to send them these spring grades before I get my application back. What are my chances?
Also currently in my spring semester I am taking a class that might cause my semester grade to drop to a 3.93 instead of a 4.0. But, I could choose to take it on a credit/no credit based system. Anyone know if having one class taken on this grading style would be a big deal?
Thanks for the help. Really anxious about getting a decision at the end of the month.
Rising sophomore Annenberg Applicant- I have received absolutely nothing since I sent in my application. Idk what TTP is so I’m assuming I’m not that, and I did not get an SGR or anything.
USC Admissions just posted on their Instagram that they’re still reviewing transfer applications. They also said if your spring term has ended you can upload an unofficial copy of your spring grades to your applicant portal. Hopefully a wave comes out this week!
@Khalid55 I see. It sounds like the bulk, or half, of your credits were from when you first attended college? If that’s the case I could see why USC would ask for your spring grades. They want to make sure the upward trend continues and stays consistent. I’m sure you’ll hear back soon, good luck!
Has anyone else gotten a financial aid update? I got a request last night for copies of my 2018 tax return as well as my parents. I’m guessing it means nothing because I know I’m poor in their eyes, but I also hadn’t seen anyone else mention anything .-.
Hey guys I hope we get some good news today! I’m gonna keep checking my email
@anotherbun just checked my FAST portal and saw an update. They’re also asking for my parents’ 2018 tax return as well.
@anotherbun I just called financial aid because they were missing my CSS and FAFSA (it was in their system but I thought it just took time) and they said they’re actually processing all the transfer financial aid stuff this week!
Sounds like we’re going to get a big wave this week judging by the Instagram post they posted and seeing that transfer stuff in general is starting to ramp up.
Why is it that Dornsife applicants seem to be the only ones that haven’t had any contact? haven’t seen any admissions or SGRs or anything really
