Yeah at 5:23 pm
does anybody know the reason to why usc accepts a student for their second choice of major and not their first choice?
USC admits by college, not by major.

It’s like being in love with a beautiful woman. A beautiful woman who may or may not have HIV and won’t tell you until May 29th.
@“Prash Patil” I went to BU and it’s really hard as a transfer. In general trying to find people as a transfer is hard, but when I transferred there all the students were very stuck in their ways with their friend groups so it was really difficult trying to find people who were interested in making new friends. The STEM kids are really stuck up there too, and people were trying to sabotage each other on exams and quizzes which turned me off from making friend with people in my major there. In general it was a hard transition away from California, and people usually already have their own friends so it’s hard to meet people. If you end up going there i would sign up for as many clubs as possible because that’s how you’ll make friends. The profs are also very blunt about the fact that they are there to do their own research and you’re going to learn the material on your own, so if you go make sure you go get on your TAs good side. There are upsides as well for BU, if you’re a non STEM major the profs tend to be great and more willing to teach, the food is AMAZING, and they do provide lots of resources like internship opportunities and outside help for students who are struggling in classes. For example, if you’re taking a foreign language you can go to a center where they actually match you up with people at your level so you can comfortably practice. They also make sure you’re knowledgeable about your academic path, with an example being they make you see your advisor before you sign up for classes every semester. Literally. You can’t sign up without a code for classes (this is after you go there for a semester) and you NEED to speak to your advisor so you make sure every semester to get the code and make sure you are on the right path towards graduating and achieving your academic goals.
UC Berkeley in a nutshell, worst freaking place to make friends, you literally have to apply to get into clubs, everyone competing to each other, sometimes it makes me wish I was dead, waking up with crippling depression and going to campus is the worst. Also it is super divided, each race keep it to their own, I seriously cant stand this place.
@tfisgoingonUSC what LOL
@NavyGuy2019 which kind of disability are you speaking off?
I got an email today; accepted as a soph. transfer for political science

We’re seeing like one acceptance per day lol its kind of concerning but still exciting knowing that decisions are rolling out for sure now.
Hey guys, I have the option to pass/no pass a course which would keep my current GPA at a 4.0 or I could take a B/C grade that could be detrimental if I get an SGR. This is in a GE class that I have already fulfilled the requirement in. Any thoughts on what I should do? Thank you and good luck!
@Doodlesack a VA disability rating for veterans.

Just take Truvada & keep hitting the refresh button.
btw, you are accepted by major, not just by school.
Good luck everyone and hang in there - anytime now F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!!!
Oh! It’s by major? I thought it was by school lol; I keep seeing different answers
Hey, so I know people have already asked this but I just want to clarify: If we received an SGR and submitted our final spring term grades, can we expect a decision by the 29th ?
I just got off the phone with my admissions counselor and she provided me with a few things I want to share with everyone.
First off, she said that if you have a choice between P/NP or a final grade, they WANT the final grade. They said reviewing your GPA is very important to them and a P/NP limits their options.
The other two things aren’t related to your question but if you’re curious its on page 127.
@poolsideconvo78 I hope this helps.
@oliviavallone No. If you receive an SGR and submit your grades before May 29, it is not guaranteed you will hear a decision on your admission by then. However you will hear back a lot sooner rather than later compared to others who have not submitted their grades yet.
