errrr, I just submited my fall admit reply form but on the “I am requesting the enrollment deposit be waived due to financial hardship” part, I’m pretty sure I selected Yes but it says I selected no… afdhdasfsj can this be reversed? T-T I think I misclicked
@fancyfirefox i have similar stats, 1000 volunteer hours, really dedicated myself to some causes(although I had no internship) and was rejected. it really sucks, and i feel your pain.
Was anyone accepted for Annenberg? I keep seeing SGR for them, and every acceptance seems to be Dornsife. Anyone know when these might come out? I have an A last name and my SGR is fully reviewed, i’m just tired of waiting haha
@NicolasJ how do you know your SGR was reviewed. They received mine but that’s all I know.
Does anyone know if decisions are out over holiday weekend or will they assume next week?
@CADREAMIN
I made this account back in high school, so that’s why my name is “UCI firstchoice” lol
Anyway, enjoy your family weekend and thanks for your insights for the housing as well!
only monday-friday
hi, I got accepted for the spring semester and I just want to ask if yall know the chance of getting into fall semester available space is high or not. (economic major)
i feel like getting in for spring semester is a best case scenario considering all that is going on lol
not sure what am I going to do with the fall semester, consider you can only transfer a limited amount of credits and I basically have most credits taken for my first two years lol! this is tough
@wendyzxp I’ve personally never come across a transfer that has been bumped up. I’ve seen it happen a couple times to freshmen spring admits, but it seems so rare for transfer spring admits. It’s far more likely for freshmen spring admits to be moved up. However, this year is definitely a unique one, so perhaps not all students will want to start in the fall? Who knows. You’d just have to wait and see. My admissions counselor reacted so negatively when I asked about being bumped up. I had never seen him use such a tone. I tried to use the same reasoning as you. I had taken ~100 units at CC, had all possible GE requirements completed, etc. The only thing I had left to do was take a level III foreign language, but that seemed like a waste. Also, my CC cut off my class fee waiver because they said I had taken so many units.
@fancyfirefox i was accepted into several decent universities, tho this one was the best ranked. due to limited resources, i will be attending a local state university. i cant say id bother reapplying next year, but what could it hurt? it wouldnt be much point for me as idk what more i can do. i cant bring my grades much if any higher, or volunteer anymore than i have, so it’s just over for me with this. i hope if you reapply you do get in, i have seen it happen before, but read their site they respond to a question about reapplying
Does anyone know if we can take a gap semester? Or does it have to be a whole gap year? Just want to know the options given the situation we are in.
Can I delay or defer my undergraduate admission to a future term?
*"If you have been admitted to USC but wish to delay beginning your undergraduate studies, you may request a deferral of up to one year. Longer gaps required for religious reasons, health issues, or for compulsory military service will also be considered.
Only students who have been formally admitted to USC may request a deferral. Please contact your admission counselor if you wish to discuss deferral options."*
@usctransfer88 Are you around?
I was accepted for this fall as a Communications major for Annenberg on 5/21/20! I never got a WGR or a SGR
Does anyone know if the admissions wait for all schools to end to view spring grades and make decisions? My spring grades come out mid-June and I’m worried that spots will run out since most people have already submitted spring grades.
@minileefhelp I called admissions and they said even if you end late it will not affect the amount of spots! They said that they wait until the quarter schools are done before they make decisions, and they said not to worry. (this next part is speculation)
I saw that some people last year got a decision fairly soon after they submitted their SGR in June, so I think there are a handful of applicants they already have an idea about and so they give their admissions out early, but overall for SGR people they wait a while before they review everyone again (this is according to the undergrad admissions office). I hope this helped!
anyone other Viterbi applicants receive SGRs?
